Functional areas of the frontal lobe
*Primary motor area (4).*Premotor area (6).
*Broca’s area (44,45). -Motor speech area ( expressive aphasia)
*Frontal eye field area(6,8,9). -Horizontal conjugate eye movements
*Prefrontal area (9,10,11,12). -Area of intellectual functions
Functional areas of the parietal lobe
*Primary sensory area (3,1,2).
*Sensory association area (5,7).
*Supramarginal gyrus. -Area of motor skills (Lt. side).
*Angular gyrus. -Rt: Prietal eye field area
- Lt: Psycho-visual area ( written & printed words).
Functional areas of the tempral lobe
*Primary auditory area (41,42). -Reception of sound (Partial deafness)
*Auditory association area (22). -Interpretation of sound (Auditory agnosia)
*Sensory speech area of Wernicke. -Interpretation of written & spoken language.
- Lesion: Recptive aphasia.
