What Are The Entry Requirements For This Course?
Entry Requirements for this qualification include all of the following:
• Currently employed in the industry
• 3+ years of experience in managing and civil construction in roles like Superintendent,
Project Manager, Engineer, Manager…
• Have access to a workplace where you are able to create or review policies and systems
– civil construction plans, environment, risk, quality
• Age 21 Years or over
• Year 12 pass or Diploma and 5+ Years relevant Industry Experience or
Proof of skills - provide a current Resume or 2 Referees to testify to your ability to
complete the course
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Motivation and a strong reason to complete and gain your qualification
In-between Jobs –considered on an individual basis.

How Can This Training Be Completed?
• Online – includes unlimited Training and Assessing sessions – via phone or skype
(daytime or nighttime).
• Distance - we can post you the information.
• Pop-up Campus – we may be able to meet with you in a library or coffee shop... Spend a
day or 2 with your Trainer face-to-face to work through as many units that you have
experience for.
Is My Qualification Going to be Recognised by Employers?
Yes. Your qualification is Nationally Recognised throughout Australia and is
regarded highly by employers around the World. We have previous students now
working as Civil Project Managers in other Countries.
Is There Any Cost Up Front?
No upfront fees are required. You can gain your qualification now and paylater with a loan from the government called VET FEE-HELP. You will notneed to pay a cent back until you have a job where your income is more than$50,000 and then it will be paid back slowly through your taxes. Getqualified now, pay later.
How Long Does It Take To Complete?
8 weeks – 12 months depending upon your previous experience and how much time you canallocate to completing your qualification. All the resources and assessments are available to you24/7, so you can get in and complete as fast as you want.

What Is Included In My Course?
Everything you need is included. All you need is internet access for uploading your
assessments and checking your results.

How Do I Complete My Qualification?
To successfully complete your qualification, you will expected to complete a minimum of 1
subject per month.
You will have your own Completion Coach who will support you, keep you motivated, on-track
and book with you, your appointments with your Tutor. One of the great benefits that our
students appreciate is that these sessions can be scheduled to suit you around your current
work or other commitments. We can usually arrange day or night sessions.
You will have access to unlimited sessions with your Tutor to help you, with a minimum of 1 per
month expected. If you would like to complete your qualification quickly, then you can book
more than 1 session per month. Here at Global Training Institute we have no minimum
completion time so you can complete as quickly as you like.
At these sessions you will be able to clarify with the Tutor what is expected in the assessments
for that subject; discuss any case studies or projects that you want to complete; ask any
questions about the topic… This makes completing your assessments so much easier!
For some of the subjects, if you have lots of experience, then you may even be able to get your
Tutor to interview you through some questions, they can record this and then you will only
need to add your workplace documents to complete that subject – our students find this super
easy.
If you can allocate 1 day for a face-to-face meeting, you may be able to meet with your Tutor and
work through a number of subjects.
We also run Assessment workshops in a number of locations, where you may be able to come
for a morning and bring your assessments with you and work on them. The Tutor moves
through the room and helps you. Students who attend, find these really valuable and can often
complete 1or 2 units.
Your quickest and simplest path to successfully completing your qualification will be to stay in
close communication your personal Completion Coach throughout the course.
How Much Time Do I Need To Spend Each Week?
5 - 6 hours per week on average should enable you to complete 1 subject each month. Somesubjects take less time, others will take more.
