What I Learned
During our powerpoint presentations, I learned how to build a great powerpoint. I learned
how color affects the mood. How to create a good design. Keep it simple but stay on topic.
Capture your screen, and end with an interesting ending.
For example colors like Blue and Grey have a calming effect which is also mature, yellow is
exciting, and red is alarming. You should probably use dark colors as the background and light
for the text to have your audience focus of what you are saying.
While creating your powerpoint you should have a design appropriate to the message.
Choose the color that is showing your emotion towards the subject you are presenting. Don’t use
all caps, use proper punctuation. Each slide should have one topic, if you have two or more
topics on one slide it may confuse the audience. Put your slides in order to make sense. You
may want to use pictures to help the audience relate to the subject and understand better.
Keep it simple when it comes to a powerpoint. Summarize your topic, have a beginning,
middle, and end. Don’t have too much text on one slide, it may become boring or the audience
may stop paying attention. Stay on topic with your subject. Keep it exciting or serious according
to your topic.
Finally at the end of your powerpoint you should end with it being interesting to have the
readers think about what your presentation was about. You want your audience to think about
what you just presented, if you are trying to persuade them they might consider the message
you're sending.
