1.0 Introduction

The system design project, Transaction and Billing

System that will provide the needed and storing information in a

faster,   more convenient way by storing file of the clients in a

computer system that will lessen the effort of company staff in

storing files of each transaction every now and then.

1.1 Background of the Study

Angel of Meadows Memorial and Nature Park has been

a provider of memorial products and services in the community

through the provision of a memorial park within the

surroundings of an ecological/nature park for five (5) years now.

1.2 Statements of the Objectives

A consistent transaction and billing system is a way to

lessen the time consumed in computation for transactions, produce

more accurate reports, and lessen the time that is being consumed

in terms of payments. The automation of the said system will be

implemented through the use of equipment like computers and

printers

Page 6: ppt defense

1.2.1 General Objectives

The main objective of the transaction and billing system

is that it will provide a better and easier way for the clients to

transact to their records during transaction and billing system

which is being managed by the facilitators of the system.

Page 7: ppt defense

1.2.2 Specific Objectives

1. Effectiveness of the computer-based information system on transactions and billing.

2. Confidentiality of the information.

3. Retrieval of the past records.

1.3 Significance of the Study

Prior to the advent of computerization, data is processed

manually. However, the past few decades, the computer and

electronic technology has been incorporated into almost every

aspect of our lives. They now play a big role in our living process

and assist us in taking care of files and documents.

1.4 Scope and Limitation of the Study

1. Store data of the clients

2. Record transaction/payments.

3. Generate Reports and printed reports.

4. Updates products and services in the database.

Page 11: ppt defense

2.0 Methodology of the Study

The general thesis research methodology was as follows:

1. Identification of research question and domain focus of the thesis, as summarized above;

2. Formulation of hypothesis,

3. Reviewing the current and proposed system

Page 13: ppt defense

2.0 Methodology of the Study

4. Development of a software for the thesis experiment;

5. Design of a thesis experiment applicable in a case study;6. Search and selection of case study

7. Reformulating of hypothesis, after considering the concrete settings of

the case study and a preliminary analysis;

Page 14: ppt defense

2.0 Methodology of the Study

9. Analysis of case study and discussion of results;

10. Analysis and discussion of the technology and institutional context, together with the new questions raised by the experiment, contributing to a research agenda;

11. Draw Conclusions.

8. Execution of experiment, in three phases: before, during and after

4.5 Problem Areas

1. Manual transaction systems are imperative in the Transacting environment because they were the conceptual basis for real-time TPS. They were used long before the rise in technology allowed for easier data collection and storage.

2. Bad debtors were very hard to trace as his system of credit-book was not reliable

3. Error with Imports and Manual Transaction Entering.

Page 24: ppt defense

4.0 The Existing System

4. Easy Access for anyone even if he/she is authorized or unauthorized

5. Ability to reliably update data and take action on trigger events

a. Time it takes to manage the data

b. Time it takes to retrieve the data and make updates,

6. Ability to share the data. And the time it takes to share the data. As an example someone in another office needs to know something about a customer.
