PPP Loan Forgiveness

Introduction The purpose of this document is to help you use the PPP Loan Forgiveness application. The guide provides you

with a step by step instruction to process the documents needed for Loan Forgiveness and enables you to

calculate the Forgiveness amount.

Logging In Note: The first step to use the PPP Loan Forgiveness application is to log into the application using the link shared

and the credentials provided in the email sent by your bank.

Clicking on the link in the email will take you to the application log in screen as shown below:

Enter the following information to log in:

(1) Your Username (your username is your registered email id with the bank)

(2) Your Password (your password will be the combination of last 4 digits of your SBA loan number and the

last 4 digits of your EIN/SSN)

(3) Your SBA Loan Number (refer the email for your SBA Loan Number)

Click Sign in

Forgot Password In case you have forgotten your password, please click on the Forgot password link on the login screen.

Enter your registered email id and SBA Loan Number and click on Submit to receive your password.

Uploading Schedule-A Worksheet Once you have successfully logged into the application, you will first need to upload the PPP Loan Forgiveness

Application Worksheet into the application.

If you do not have the SBA PPP Loan Forgiveness template that was emailed to by your bank, please download

the template by clicking on the Download File option as shown above and fill in the required details. (Please refer

to page 7 of the 3245-0407-SBA-Form-3508-PPP-Forgiveness-Application.pdf for detailed instructions on filling in the SBA PPP

Loan Forgiveness template).

Once you have filled in the template, please submit it by uploading the file by clicking on the Browse your file

to select the template as seen in the screen above.

Click Next once the file has been successfully uploaded.

Alternately, you may click on the Next button to proceed to fill in the application manually without uploading

the template.

Note: The panel on the right-side of the screen displays all the information about your business and your PPP Loan Details.

The status at this point would display “Awaiting Documents”.

Frequently Asked Questions At any point of time while working on the application, you have an option to refer to the Frequently Asked

Questions using Ina, the Chat Bot that is available at the right hand corner of your screen (shown by an arrow in

the screen below). Click on the chat option to invoke the chat bot to provide you with answers to any of the

frequently asked questions related to the application.

Change Password You have an option to change your password. To change your password, click on your email id on the top right

corner of the screen and select the Change password option as shown below:

On selecting the Change Password option above, you will be prompted to enter your old password and the new

password that you would like to set up. Once you re-enter the new password, click on Submit. This should set

your password to the new one. You will receive a confirmation mail about the changed password.

The 5 sections that need to be filled in for PPP Schedule A are as given below:

PPP Schedule A Worksheet Table 1 Totals This section has the following information under this section:

Check Line 1 Cash Compensation from PPP Schedule A worksheet – Table 1

Check Line 2 Average FTE from PPP Schedule A worksheet – Table 1

Check Line 3 Salary/Hourly Wage Reduction from PPP Schedule A worksheet – Table 1 (Note: Enter manually if not uploaded from Schedule A template excel sheet).

PPP Schedule A Worksheet Table 2 Totals Check the following details from Table 2 of PPP Schedule A worksheet as below:

Non-Cash Compensation Payroll Costs During the Covered or Alternate Period Check the following details from PPP Schedule A as below:

Check Line 6 Employer contribution for employee health care

Check Line 7 Employer contribution for employee retirement plan

Check Line 8 Employer taxes assessed on employee compensation (Note: Click on ”i” if you need more details about the field.)

Compensation to Owners

This section Is to enter the Compensation to Owners as per Line 9 of the Schedule A

Total Payroll Costs and FTE Reduction Calculations Check the following details as part of the Total Payroll costs and FTE Reduction calculations:

Check Line 10 Payment Costs

Check Line 11 Average FTE during the reference period

Check Line 12 Total Average FTE

Check Line 13 FTE Reduction Quotient – if you have not reduced the number of employees or

average paid hours during the reference period, please check the box and this field should have a

value of 1.

Click Next to move to the next screen

PPP Loan Forgiveness Calculation Form Once you click on the Next option, you will need to review (or enter) the details on the Loan Forgiveness

Calculation form.

There are 4 sections to the Loan Forgiveness Calculation Form that you need to review or manually fill in. These

are:

Employees and Payroll Calculation This screen allows you to review or enter the payroll details of your employees as below:

Please review or enter the following information as shown above:

Employees at the time of Loan Application Employees at Time of Forgiveness Application EDIL Advance Amount - If you have received an Economic Injury Disaster Loan advance, review or enter the amount EDIL Application Number – If you have applied for an EDIL, review or enter your EDIL Application number Payroll Schedule - Select the option that corresponds to your payroll schedule Others – Enter the description of the other Payroll Schedule if different from the list displayed Covered Period – Displays the eight-week (56-day) Covered Period of your PPP loan

Alternate Period – Select this option if you want to enter a period different from the covered period

Payroll and Nonpayroll Costs Review or enter the Costs incurred towards payroll and other costs as shown below:

Line 1 - Payroll Costs – Review the total eligible payroll costs incurred or paid during the Covered Period Line 2 - Business Mortgage Interest Payments – Review the amount of mortgage interest paid during the Covered Period Line 3 - Business Rent or Lease Payments – Review the business rent or lease payment during the Covered Period Line 4 - Business Utility Payments – Review the amount of utility payments made during the Covered Period (Note: Please enter the values here in case you have not uploaded the Schedule A excel template).

Adjustments for Full Time Equivalency (FTE) Review all the adjustments related to the salary/wage reductions as mentioned below:

Line 5 – Review Total Salary / Hourly Wage Reduction Line 6 – Review the calculated values. Line 7 – Review FTE Reduction Quotient (Note: Enter the values as per the instructions in the calculation sheet).

Potential Forgiveness Amounts

Line 8 – Modified Totals – Review the amount on Line 6 multiplied by amount on Line 7 above Line 9 – PPP Loan Amount – Review the PPP Loan Amount Line 10 – Payroll Costs 75% Requirement – Review the amount that is calculates Line 11 – Forgiveness Amount – Displays the smallest value from Line 8, 9 and 10

Click Save to save the entered details and Next to move to the next screen.

Uploading Documents Please upload all the documents or receipts as mentioned below:

Click on the upload icon and upload all the mandatory and relevant documents against each as mentioned:

▪ Select the Payroll Provider

▪ Payroll report for the coverage period and reference period

▪ Rent receipts for the coverage period

▪ Utility paid receipts for the coverage period

▪ Mortgage interest for the coverage period

▪ Bank statements covering the coverage period

▪ Tax return for 2019

▪ Other related expenses for the coverage period

Once you have uploaded all the documents, click on Save to save your work or Submit

Self Certification Once you have submitted all the information and the documents, you will need to self-certify that all the

information provided on behalf of the borrower is true to the best of your knowledge as follows:

Click on I Agree.

Once you have submitted your application and documents and have signed above, you will receive

an email acknowledgement about your submission.

You will be redirected to the initial screen. Please note that the status at this point would be

“Pending Verification”.

You may now log out of the application.

Message Centre To enable you to message the verifier or read any message sent to you by your Lender, please click

on Inbox on the top right-hand corner of your screen.

You can see any messages that the Loan Officer has sent to you and you can respond to the Loan

Officer by entering your reply and clicking on the Send icon.

Pending Clarifications If you have submitted your documents for verification, there is a chance that you may receive a mail

from the Loan Officer seeking clarifications. To submit your clarifications or send new documents,

please log in to the portal with your credentials and move to the document submit page as below.

You will see a warning icon on the individual documents for which clarifications have been sought.

Please click on the icon and type in your reply and upload the required documents under those

sections and submit again.
