Facts Project DescriptionThe PPP Infrastructure Project BAB A8 in the section Ulm-Elchingen and Augsburg Westincludes the responsibilities of expansion, maintaining, operating and financing on a lengthof 57 km.The motorway A8 Ulm-Augsburg-Munich is one of the most important road axis in Europe.The above mentioned section of the previous four-lane motorway A8 will be extended on alength of approx. 41 km to six lanes plus shoulder while maintaining the traffic. Thecontract also includes the construction of 79 bridges, culverts and other civil engineeringworks and the maintenance and operation of further 29 bridge constructions. Three PWCcar park toilet facilities will be built along the motorway and the filling station and servicearea Burgauer See will be extended.
