Bunzl Greenham, working in partnership with leading secure destruction specialists, provide a national service for the secure destruction and recycling of all types of PPE. This protects your brand and improves your carbon footprint.

All materials can be collected from your premises and taken to a secure facility where it is destroyed by shredding, then used for Energy from Waste (EfW) and converted to Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) to generate power.

A Certificate of Destruction is issued along with recycling weights and figures for each collection ensuring you can prove that it is destroyed and recycled.

1. Collect from your site and deliver back to our Branch2. No minimum or maximum quantity3. Once every two months we send the items to a processing plant in the Midlands4. Everything is shredded until it is smaller than 20mm in size5. All metal and wood is extracted for recycling6. Remaining material is used as a Solid Recovered Fuel to fire a furnace

7. A Certificate of Destruction is issued if required

• We suggest a standard 240L Wheelie bin as the weight of items when full is around 25kg which is a manageable weight to manually handle.

• If required we can brand the outside of the bin with “PPE RECYCLE POINT”, detailing a list of the items that can be included.

• Notice inside lid to discourage “rubbish” being deposited.

• We collect from anywhere in the UK, at any of your sites, as and when the bin is full or the project has come to an end.

• We use our own transport to get the PPE from your sites. Our vans go back to branch virtually empty so a great use of existing spare capacity.

• Call you local Greenham branch to discuss this cost effective service.

The circular economy is a collaboration between the manufacturing and service sectors for the collective benefit of the economy and environment.

Within the circular economy, the role of waste management is to collect, treat and return secondary resources and recovered energy back into the cycle of production and consumption.

Producing solid recovered fuel demonstrates the circular economy in action. We process residual

waste to produce a fuel that can be used in manufacturing as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. This reduces the need for primary resources, such as coal, and ensures waste is put to good use as a secondary resource.

You can see how the Solid Recovered Fuel process feeds into the circular economy diagram below:
