• SPBU (Scientific Programs Business Unit) PPD SSTD CSE NP
• Significant re-organization of support structures within CCLRC• Business IT Team – Support for SPBU at RAL
– Maintain presence in SSTD and PPD– No more ‘CLEO’ support. Each BU supplied first line support.– Use of “Footprints” call logging software.
•Team comprises:Adrian Boulter; Alan Doo; Kevin Dunford; Jack Roberts;
Paul Shuttle; Gareth Smith; Paul Smith.
2007 – SPBU merged with TBU to form STBU (Science & Technology Business Unit)
• But IT not re-organized…..

Purchasing Policy– PPD Computing Group provides the main desktop system
for each member of staff.– Laptops and laboratory systems bought by appropriate
group.– If a person chooses to only have a laptop then CG will
contribute £500 towards cost. Also:• CG provides monitor/keyboard/mouse Office license
etc.• As part of laptop cost a docking station to be bought
(DSE requirements).
