*The last year set some world records like launching of 104 satellites in a

“Transforming India” mission, which will finally culminate in the building

*The i-Create is an independent Centre created with the objective of facilitating entrepreneurship.

*Commerce and Industries Minister Suresh Prabhu has said, India is likely to become a five-trillion dollar economy in the coming years.

*Speaking at a session on innovation and creation at Raisina dialogue today, Mr Prabhu said, out of this, one trillion dollar will come from manufacturing sector.

*He said, if manufacturing alone is digitized, it will create huge opportunities for technology firms.

*He also said that experts, who are involved in manufacturing, are preparing a roadmap to expand manufacturing sector.

*External affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said, terrorism is undeniably the mother of all disruptions.

*Speaking at the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi today, she said, the challenge of terrorism is even more serious in the digital age with greater propensity to radicalisation.

*"Terrorism is undeniably the mother of all disruptions today. Our attitude towards terrorism has evolved in the last few decades. There was a time when it was seen as others problem. That time has gone long back. We are all now very clear that terrorism anywhere can threaten societies everywhere. The challenge is even more serious in a digital age.“

*Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today took to the skies in the

formidable Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft of 31 Squadron on her visit to

Air Force Station Jodhpur.

*In her 45 minutes of sortie, she was demonstrated with some of the

unique characteristics and strengths of this mighty twin engine Air

Superiority Fighter.

*She is the first woman Defence Minister of India to fly a sortie in an IAF

Sukhoi -30 MKI fighter aircraft.

*Group of Ministers appointed to look into IT issues of Goods and Services Tax had their sixth meeting in Bengaluru today.

*The Group headed by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi informed media-persons that dip in revenue during the last few months is a matter of concern.

*He informed that revenue collection dipped from 92,283 crore rupees in July to 80,806 crore rupees in November.

*There are 7.5 lakh dealers coming under GST Composition scheme who had paid just 310 crore rupees as taxes .

*The figures indicate that there are attempts to evade or supress taxes.

*President Ram Nath Kovind today conferred Sangeet Natak AkademiFellowships and Awards for 2016 on an eminent group of musicians, dancers, and theatre artists.

*Recipients of Fellowships (Akademi Ratnas) are Arvind Parikh, R Vedavalli, Ram Gopal Bajaj and Sunil Kothari.
