...HOWEVER...

I did not succeed to finish the framework (and the paper) to this workshop

......

SO INSTEAD

I will show

you a few examples

Webconferencing

• We have been trying/using different web communications and conferencing programs.

• Low end solutions – not high end like Tandberg

Quite a lot of them

VoiceCafe, iConference etc

The concepts where almost the same.

Discussion

• The technical solutions and standards make a rigid framework of the products functionality.

• Behind different interface furnishes, we often find the same standards and techniques.

• High pricing does not always means highest quality for low end video conferencing users.

The goal is to make a framework based on own experiences, user reports of practical use and testing of many video conferencing solutions in different communication situations.

How to evaluate low endwebcommunication and –conferensing

systems/programs

• Installation simplicity/complexity • User interface • Functionality • Virtual environment• Bandwidth capabilities (– more up)• Organizational environments • Pricing
