Based on Recommendations from the CDC & OSHA

When it’s time to reopen your building or facility to employees, tenants and visitors, there are many things to consider. Here are some re-entry guidelines you can follow!

PreparednessHas the building/facility been disinfected and ready to accept employees, tenants and visitors?

• Dust and Vacuum using new dust mops, dust clothes, and fresh vacuum bags.• Eliminate stale odors from the building being closed. Try air fresheners or

fragrance enhanced cleaning products.• Deal with drains and any water sources. Pipes need to be flushed to eliminate

odors due to sediment buildup. Drain maintainer products are a great fit.• Deep clean/disinfect restrooms, lobbies, elevators and other common areas using

an EPA registered disinfectant effective against COVID-19.• Use microfiber clothes, then launder. Disposable clothes/towels are also a great

choice if laundering is unavailable.

CommunicationPost signage alerting people that the appropriate steps have been taken and will continue, ensuring a safe return and continued use of the building/facility.

• In areas where lines could form, use distance matting to remind patrons to remain 6ft apart.

• Close off drinking fountains for public safety.• Where possible, close off every other sink and urinal to help patrons maintain safe

distance in public restrooms.• Offer masks and/or hand sanitizer to patrons if available. This helps boost patron

confidence.

Future PlanHave a plan in place to maintain a safe and sanitized building/facility.• For cleaning crews, set a daily or weekly cleaning schedule.• Stock up on Gloves, Masks, Disinfectants and Wipes as well as other

essential cleaning items.• For the public, install or maintain existing hand sanitizer station, toilet

tissue, paper towels and hand soap.• Install/maintain positive signage throughout building/facility to promote

trust and confidence for your patrons.
