Powered Pleasure Craft Driving Licence (PPCDL) Course 2015

PPCDL is required for operators of engine-powered/ jet-propelled pleasure craft (with SZ or SZH licence prefix) within the port limits.

PPCDL ensures that boaters are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate their craft safely within the port waters. The PPCDL also allows relevant enforcement agencies to easily identify the operator.

Requirements

i) Be at least 16 years of age & physically fit ii) No colour blindness iii) No physical handicap

Theory Lessons

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 6.00pm – 11.00pm

Venue

Scout HQ, Ee Peng Liang Building, 1 Bishan Street 12, Singapore 579808.

Classroom will be advised on the same evening on each day.

Practical Lessons

Saturday or Sunday: From 9.00am

Additional Matters

i) Participants are required to undergo regular medical checks, including eyesight checks to certify their fitness to drive (at own cost).

ii) Theory exam fee: $21.40/ Practical exam fee: $53.50 (inclusive GST) - Conducted by Singapore Maritime Academy (exam fees to be paid directly to Singapore Polytechnic).

iii) Licence card: $20 (via post)/ $30 (in person) to be paid to Maritime Port Authority – One-Stop Document Centre at Tanjong Pagar.
