Business License Renewals Due by March 1

The City of Blue Springs would like to remind Blue Springs, MO, business owners that the annual

business license application, payment and accompanying documents are due by March 1, 2016.

Most businesses are required to have a business license to operate in Blue Springs. Annual business

licenses start at $50 and expire at the end of February. New businesses, existing businesses or

businesses changing their location, name or legal structure are required to submit a completed

business license application form. They must also include payment and accompanying documents to

the Business Services Division located at 903 West Main Street, Blue Springs, MO, by March 1, 2016.

The City of Blue Springs regulates specific types of businesses to maintain the health, safety and

general welfare of the community. The City’s application and renewals process ensures that specific

businesses are in compliance with zoning and building codes, fire safety and insurance regulations,

up-to-date on certifications, and meet workers compensation guidelines.

Failure to file and make payment by March 1, 2016, will result in penalties and interest being assessed.

Business owners can find more information about

the City’s licensing process by visiting

www.bluespringsgov.com/businesslicense or by

calling the Business Services Division at

(816) 228-0131.
