A SIT is a working group to provide feedback on a modernization project. A productive SIT has regular attendance from 10-15 members and include the following participants: School Leadership Teachers Parents (Including PTA/LSAT/HSA) Community Members Neighborhood Organizations & ANC

Each SIT will have a DCPS SIT Coordinator & and a DGS Project Manager.

The SIT will help serve as the link to the broader community by sharing project information and materials.

Communication & Transparency

• To accommodate families that start work close to 9am, we would like

to start meetings at 8:10AM.

• Minutes/Notes/Agenda/Slides sent after SIT meetings

• Occasionally, after major project updates, Powell leadership may

convene afternoon meetings to brief stakeholders who can’t attend

morning meetings
