2 CONNECTIONS IN ANALYSIS
• “Over fifty percent of fast food workers rely on some sort of public assistance to support their families” (Heffernan). These jobs don’t pay enough for people to keep their kids in school or to pay for college tuition. Workers worry about getting food stamps and paying the bills, which is incredibly stressful. All these worries, piled on top of worries everyone has, like paying for gas, create a stress much greater on these minimum wage earners than other people, demonstrating just how severely impacted they are compared to other groups.
