Postgraduate Freshers’ Induction Timetable
Jesus College, Michaelmas Term 2019
A warm welcome to Jesus College. In this timetable you will obtain all the relevant information relating to Freshers’ Induction Week.
Please note that you MUST participate in the formal College activities in the left hand column unless marked OPTIONAL. Events in the right hand
column are organised by the Middle Common Room (MCR) Committee and are optional. All the activities are designed to be useful to you in
settling in to College academically, socially and domestically. In addition to this timetable will be any meetings organised by your department/faculty.
Meal arrangements:
On-line sign up is required on certain days if you wish to take your meals in the College. On-line sign up process is simple and can be completed by
following these simple steps:
Login to the College intranet http://intranet.jesus.ox.ac.uk/home.aspx
Click on the Online Services tab at the top of the page
Click on the Hall Sign Up and Online Payment icon under the heading Domestic and Accommodation Services
You’ll be taken to the University Single Sign On login page to sign in (credentials sent to you by email for registration)
After signing in you’ll reach the Meal Booking page, look at the drop down list of meals to see what’s available and book!

An Introduction to Mindfulness. This
term Tim Stead, who is a trained
mindfulness teacher who teaches the
Student Mindfulness course, will be
leading a meditation group on Thursday
evenings. Tim has practiced meditation in
secular, Christian, Buddhist and Sufi
contexts. It will be appropriate for
beginners and people with some
experience. It is open to people from any
faith including secular/atheist
backgrounds. This taster session will give
an idea of what to expect! If you have any
