Featuring 295 exhibitors, a large international attend-ance and a top-quality conference
Mashhad International Exhibition Center has once again opened its doors to the 17th edition of iFood, one of the most important business platforms for food
and food processing industries in Iran. The exhibition, which is supported by Khorasan Industrial Estates Com-pany and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and which took place from August 25 to 28 in Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi Province and an important hub for Iran’s food industry, has further strengthened its recognition by the international business community. As many as 295 companies from 16 countries such as Iran, Germany, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, India, Ukraine, Italy and others demonstrated a full variety of the latest products and technology for the food and food pro-cessing industries to nearly 17,000 local and international visitors. Particularly, Ccompanies from China, Ka-zakhstan and Pakistan arranged national pavilions.
The international pavilion was for the third consecu-tive year organized by IFW-expo Heidelberg GmbH. The German Agricultural Society (DLG e.V.) once
again arranged a comprehensive conference program. The two-day symposium, which accompanied the exhibition from August 26 to 28, featured topics such as “Bilateral trade conditions and food safety” and “New ideas for vegetable processing”. Industry experts from
international companies such as, Eco Viva GmbH, DLG Test Service, CSB, Plattenhardt+Wirth GmbH, VEMAG Anlagenbau GmbH or R-Biopharm or Wadi-International University took an active part in the sessions by giving presentations and statements.
Some 27 high-ranking of-ficials from Iran, Afghani-stan, Germany, Iraq, Paki-stan, Tajikistan, Tartastan (Russia), Turkey and Turk-menistan participated in
the opening ceremony on August 25. Among them were Mr. Ghanbari, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Rahm-ani, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, Mr. Rashidian, Governor of Khorasan Razavi Province as well as other senior members of the government, Mr. An-var Mavlanov, Deputy General Director of Development of Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Ta-tarstan (Russia) and others.
The next edition of iFood will host professionals from food and food processing industry around the world again in August 2017 in Mashhad. For more details, please feel free to contact the organizers.
