POSTGAME QUOTES GRIZZLIES 105, TIMBERWOLVES 88 FEBRUARY 10, 2013 GRIZZLIES HEAD COACH LIONEL HOLLINS On the team’s ball movement: “The ball movement is getting contagious. Everybody is moving the ball. It’s nice; giving goals to Zach, guys cutting. The whole team is just looking to make the extra pass and the extra play. When you make shots assists do pile up, but I think the willingness to pass is important, and we are doing that. When you look at the assists, just about everybody that played over 10 minutes had an assists. That was a good thing.” On Austin Daye: “He is a shooter. We just have to find decent matchups for him. He’s 6’10-6’11 and it’s hard to guard some of those really quick threes. He can move the ball and he can shoot. He’s done that and I like that.” On deciding to put Quincy Pondexter in the game: “The moment just seemed right. I was thinking about that when I said that to ya’ll (pre- game), everybody is going to say I lied. I had no intention of playing him. It was a moment I thought that I could put him out there for a couple of minutes and let him get his feet wet. I liked the fact that he was out there. The fact that he got out there to play a couple of minutes was a good thing but he didn’t really do a whole lot.” On choosing the lineups: “I just try to see how the game is flowing and what we can do. I think I had Tayshaun at two and Austin Daye at three for a brief moment. I like the guys to be comfortable and when the situation calls for change, then you make change. But just changing up for the heck of it just to do it, that’s like playing man-to-man for the whole game and then going zone. What’s the point if your man-to-man is playing well? Sometimes things happen and it wins out a stretch. I was trying to figure out how to get Darrell (Arthur) and Ed (Davis) in the game together. It was kind of hard to play all four of those guys. I wanted to give him (Davis) some minutes and then they made the little run on us and I wanted to put Zach (Randolph) back in the game. I wanted to leave Darrell (Arthur) in. I was about to come back with Tony (Allen) and Tayshaun (Prince), but we hit a couple of threes and subdued the rush on us and then the game was over.” On the Timberwolves: “I thought we had to play. They played really hard and really well. Our defense just kept building and then our offense got into a rhythm and we were making some shots. We got a lead and kept building and building. They never quit. They have a lot of players. When they get all their other players, they are going to be tough. You just have to go out and play and compete and see what happens.” On Tony Allen:

On Tony Allen:“We had 27 deflections and Tony Allen had nine by himself. He was awesome on defense. He was very under control on offense.”
