The Multi Disciplinary Centre on Safety, Health & Environment (MDC onSHE) a State Government created and sponsored organization and aleading NGO in the State of Odisha aims at creating awareness amongthe employees, employers, opinion makers and NGOs in the field of safety,health & environment through education, training, workshops, seminarsand action oriented programmes. The objective of the Centre is to imparteducation and training on a continuous basis in these fields to the industrialworkers, supervisors, managers & trade union leaders; to act as aR & D Centre; to develop Industrial Hygiene Laboratory/Occupational Health Service Centre; to develop an updated library;to serve as a Think Tank and to promote a modern trainingcentre for the benefit of all concerned.
The institute offers regular course on Post Diplomain Industrial Safety. The course is approved by theDirectorate of Technical Education and Training,Odisha (DTE & T) and affiliated to State Council ofTechnical Education and Vocational Training(SCTE & VT), Odisha, vide Memo No : 14704dated : 25.09.2010.
