Third-place winners are Linda Fee of Jonesville andCennea Tipton of Duffield.
The winners accrued 50, 35, and 25 pointseach, respectively. From September 2015through August 2016 winners will accrue pointsand the person with the greatest number of pointswill be awarded a trophy and cash prize. This isin addition to the regular tournament where win-ning partners are recognized monthly and theGrand Rook Tournament where only winners areeligible to play.
The “leader of the pack” is Danny Scott with210 points with two more months of play todetermine the individual winner. Everyone washappy to see Jeff Flanary of Dayton, Ohio, again.
He was a first-place winner at the April tourna-ment. The July tournament will be held Saturday,July 23, beginning at 6 p.m. Everyone is invitedto join the group. The tournaments are held at theStickleyville Community Center in Lee Countyand are sponsored by Stickleyville Community-In-Action, Inc.
“Where was Moses when the lights went out?In the dark.” And so were the rook players forover an hour. The emergency lights DID NOTWORK, so everyone used their cell phones andcontinued to play. You can’t keep a determinedgroup of folks down.
