ALVIN LAW- KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Alvin was born in 1960 in the town
of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He is a
well-respected motivational speaker.
Alvin tours with his wife Darlene,
and he speaks to many groups about
overcoming obstacles in life. He
demonstrates resilience and inspires
people to break down barriers that
may be blocking their path to
success. He says, “We all have
obstacles in life. It is ultimately our attitude that determines whether they block our path to success, or
strengthen us on our journey.” Alvin has overcome many obstacles in his own life. He was born without
arms as a result of exposure to Thalidomide (a prescription drug used by pregnant woman to help reduce
the intensity of morning sickness). While many people would view this condition as a hindrance, Alvin
instead embraces his uniqueness. He says, “The best thing that ever happened to me is being born
without arms. It brought me to circumstances never thought possible.” Alvin is sure to amaze you with
his touching stories, impressive talents and positive perspective on life.
MOTIVATIONAL MEDIA- SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Motivational Media aims to both challenge and inspire young people to develop strategies that will enable them to reach their true potential so that their life choices will not be diminished through avoidable and harmful behaviours.
Motivational Media's programs are high impact presentations delivered in schools and other organizations. We make use of three large, panoramic screens, along with state of the art synchronized projectors, producing an image 13 metres wide. This is combined with amplified sound, current popular music and inspirational stories creating an experience that grips students’ attention like no other program.
The package includes detailed follow-up material, including student worksheets, that assist educators to reinforce and practically apply the harm avoidance and minimization strategies highlighted in the on screen presentation.

what types of things police deal with in Regina. For example, our street gangs in this city, their
motives and the myths about gang life. We’ll talk about and show you some graffiti found in
Regina, their meanings and what to do when you see them. And finally, what happens when
you have a criminal record. What could be the impact on your future? This presentation will
