This may not be communicated until during the holidays. With this in mind, we will keep the current drop off and pick up arrangements and I will communicate any changes to the guidelines as early as possible. We still have many activities planned for Term 4 but we will finalise how and what these may look like when the Term 4 guidelines are released. K/1GK GUBUDJA GURGADJ It is great to share some more excellent work happening in our classrooms. As a part of K/1s writing program, students are learning to write an informative text in the structure of a procedure. A recipe is a perfect example of a procedural text that young students can engage with. Earlier this term students learnt to make small pizzas and wrote a recipe to record the steps involved in making pizza. They engaged well and produced some excellent writing. Following this session students learnt how to make a healthy lunch wrap and wrote a procedural text to record the steps involved in making wraps. The students did a fantastic job of preparing this food and writing the recipes to record the processes. TELL THEM FROM ME SURVEY REMINDER Just a reminder that our school is participating in the Partners in Learning parent survey, another part of the Tell Them From Me suite of surveys (student, teacher and parent surveys) on student engagement. The survey asks parents and carers questions about different factors that are known to impact on student wellbeing and engagement. The parent survey can be accessed until Term 4, Week 2 (Friday 23 October 2020). We had a great response last year and the information collected was extremely valuable to the school. Although participating in the survey is entirely voluntary, your responses are very much appreciated. To access the survey for our school go to: http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/3mty7 HOLIDAYS AND BEGINNING OF TERM 4 With daylight becoming longer and potentially some good weather, I hope our students have an enjoyable and restful two week break. I am very proud of how our students, staff and families have positively taken the year on especially with the challenges and changes to schooling this year so far. Term 4 is always busy and the school is working hard to provide students with as many opportunities as possible even if these do take a different form than in the past. I would like to remind parents that school for students starts on Monday 12 October. The staff development days are taken at the end of Term 4. P&C NEWS

A few weeks ago, the P&C bought the Canteen some new

equipment and Sarah is giving them a good run already! We

purchased a food processor and another sandwich press to help

with the lunch rush. Thanks Sarah and our volunteers for a great

term at the canteen!

Just a reminder that our new uniform supplier, Tuff As Workwear in

Bega, is now taking orders. The order forms are available from the

front office which you can pick up or you can request one to be sent

home with your child. Alternatively you can ring the store on

64926002. If you have any questions regarding this process give me

a call.

Thanks to the staff and students for a great term. Have an awesome
