Instinct approaches

• Zigmund Freud: aggression is a primary instinctual drive.

• Konrad Lorenz: aggression is a fighting instinct; definition of catharsis

Frustration - aggression approaches

• Frustration produces anger, leading to readiness to act aggressively.

Conclusions

Social psychology considers person’s interaction with other people, positive and negative social behavior. Feelings for others and positive behavior are very important in every individual’s life and cause positive emotions. In contrast, aggression and hurting others are unacceptable behavior.
