About us

OHT is a specialised heavy transport and installationcontractor, building on Norway’s long and proud herit-age in maritime pioneering.

Since the company was founded in 2006, we have suc-cessfully executed complex projects on behalf of our customers. We serve clients from a wide range of indus-tries including oil & gas, offshore wind and marineinfrastructure.

Handling oversized and challenging cargoes is our trade-mark, and we are proud of having transported well over a hundred jack-up drilling rigs for the majority of rig-owners in the world.

In Q1 2021, OHT will increase the capabilities andbecome a full transport & installation (T&I) contractor with addition of a new heavy lift crane installationvessel to our fleet.

The innovative Alfa Lift project is a response tothe increasing demand for efficient transportation andinstallation solutions within the offshore wind market.

Entering new marketsThe unique Alfa Lift project is a 48,000 dwt semi-submersi-ble vessel targeting the offshore windfarm foundationinstallation market. The vessel is designed to efficientlyinstall all types of bottom fixed offshore wind foundations.

Besides Alfa Lift’s superior installation capabilities,the vessel also holds the ability to transport and install topsides and subsea modules as well as transporting other floating and non-floating heavy cargoes.

Valuable feedback from our customers inspires us to con-stantly seek new opportunities to improve our servicesand maintain our position as a leading contractor.

Entering the T&I market leverages on OHT’s experiencein delivering reliable transport services and on ourskilled staff with offshore wind and subsea construction background.
