Position Opening: Benefit Event Planner The Participatory Budgeting Project (PBP) is seeking a part-time Event Planner to work with staff, board, and volunteers to plan and implement PBP’s second annual benefit. The benefit will occur in June, with a fundraising goal of $30,000. The position will begin in February and run through June. The event planner will work closely with and be supported by the Development Manager, Communications Director, and other staff and interns. Responsibilities Logistics and Planning Identify, solicit, and secure in-kind sponsors/donations (i.e. food & drink) as well as other vendors (i.e. caterers). Create and implement run-of-show plan. Manage and train volunteers (for day-of-event and any preparatory work). Oversee and manage event. Tickets/Sponsorships Assist in identifying and soliciting sponsorships via phone and email. Coordinate sponsor recognition packages. Create and manage online ticket sales. Track invitees, ticket purchases, comps, etc. Act as point of contact for sponsors and invitees. Communications Act as main point of contact with vendors and benefit location. Update and assist in implementing outreach, including social media, email blasts, etc. Update solicitation scripts/material for host committee outreach. Assist in contact with host committee and honorees. Assist in development of benefit theme and design collateral. Create and manage digital journal. Program Assist in developing event program. Create scripts for presenters. Post-benefit Sponsor and attendee appreciation and recognition. Event evaluation.

Position Opening: Benefit Event Planner  The Participatory Budgeting Project (PBP) is seeking a part-time Event Planner to work with staff, board, and volunteers to plan and implement PBP’s second annual benefit. Compensation Pay will be commensurate with experience. There is potential for further contract work with PBP, based on performance, in planning other programmatic and fundraising events.
