Position Description: Stepping Into- Summer 2016/17 Position Title: Campaign Development Support Services Officer Location: Melbourne Position Description: The Campaigns team is part of the Proactive Compliance & Education Branch and is responsible for delivering education and compliance campaigns aimed at improving compliance with Australian workplace laws. These campaigns are conducted at a national and regional level. They focus on areas, industries or issues where evidence supports the need for a proactive compliance activity. The team may also focus on vulnerable groups of employees to ensure they are receiving their correct entitlements. The team is devolved into four functional sub-teams with this position located in the Campaign Development team which is responsible for the development of business cases for all audit campaigns undertaken by the operational sub-teams. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support within the Campaign Development team but may also provide support to other areas of the wider branch. To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills: Demonstrable administration skills Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products and an ability to quickly learn new electronic processes and procedures Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands Ability to work as part of a geographically disbursed team. Position Title: Campaign Development Support Services Officer

As a Support Services Officer you will be responsible for:• Conducting internet searches on a range of sites to develop and confirm campaign entity lists.• Helping with arrangements for formal meetings, events and work groups.• Undertaking preliminary work for research under close supervision.• Critical examination and data entry of employee records in pre-established spreadsheets.• Drafting basic routine correspondence under close supervision. • Collating and presenting information using a range of computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and DocBank.

• Providing administrative, clerical, operational or systems support to the Campaigns operational teams.

Key Selection Criteria: 1. Sound administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to manage day to day priorities 2. Ability to acquire knowledge of policies and procedures relating to administrative duties3. The ability to prepare and draft reports and correspondence with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail under supervision.4. Operate as an effective member of the team, share information with others and maintain professionalism and courtesy with stakeholders.5. Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to acquire knowledge of new IT systems.

The ideal intern will be a penultimate or final year student (undergraduate or post graduate) studying one of the following disciplines:• Arts• Business• Communications• Marketing• Event Management• Industrial RelationsStudents must be Australian Citizens to participate in this internship.
