Venue
The Metropolitan Expo Centre is located in the Athens
International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" complex in
Spata, Attica, and is the largest, state-of-the-art venue
for exhibitions, conferences and events in Greece.
General info - Registration
Access is reserved for members of the Greek and
International Shipping Community. Visitors must display
a valid admission ticket, business card or confirmed
online registration (visitor’s badge) to gain access.
Visitors are encouraged to register online prior to their
arrival at the venue, to assure quick entry to theexhibition:

Access to the Posidonia Exhibition is free of charge.

Posidonia is organised under the auspices of the Greek shipping

Easy Access!
Access to the METROPOLITAN EXPO is easy, as a large number of
transportation options are available, including Bus
and Metro.
The exhibition centre is located at the end of the Attiki Odos
Expressway, after the Athens International Airport, only
two km from the airport buildings and a few minutes from the
metro and suburban railway stations, which are
connected to the exhibition centre via regular shuttle bus
service.
Its location renders it the ideal destination for people
travelling by plane who want to make a quick trip to Greece for
Posidonia 2016.
More specifically:
By car
Use the Attiki Odos Expressway, direction towards the
Airport. Signage on the Attiki Odo Expressway leads to
the exhibition centre. You have to drive past the
Airport, and the exhibition centre is located 2 km
down the road.
By air
METROPOLITAN EXPO is located within the Athens
International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” complex.
There is a regular shuttle bus service between the
airport and the exhibition centre.
Shuttle Bus and Taxi Service
Shuttle bus service is provided by the organisers. The
Shuttle bus schedule will be announced closer to the
exhibition, and will provide access to the venue fromvarious
locations in Athens and major hotels. There
will be a frequent shuttle bus service from the Athens
Airport to the Metropolitan Expo.
Taxi service will also be available at the Posidonia
exhibition centre.
By Public Transport
Metro
Use Line M3 (blue line), stop at Airport. Trains to the
airport run every 30 minutes. Shuttle bus service to
the Metropolitan Expo is provided.
Suburban Railway
Line Neratziotissa / Doukissis Plakentias / Airport. Stop
at Airport. Shuttle bus service to the Metropolitan
Expo is provided.
Buses
All Attica’s Express buses take you to the Airport (X93
from Kifissos Intercity Bus Station - X95 from
Syntagma Square - X96 from Piraeus - X97 from
Elliniko). Shuttle bus service to the Metropolitan Expo
is provided.
Signage to the Exhibition Centre is available, as well as
info kiosks throughout the airport to assist visitors.
