Bio of Annie Leibovitz:Leibovitz is an enormously famous American portrait photographer of today. Her style is in closecollaboration with whomever she is photographing. It is rumored she is influenced by her mother.She attended the San Francisco Art Institute. She became interested in photography after takingpictures when she lived in the Philippines, where her Air Force father was stationed during theVietnam War. For several years, she continued to develop her photography skills while she workedvarious jobs, including a stint on a kibbutz Amir in Israel for several months in 1969. Leibovitzmoved back to the U.S. in 1970; she landed a job at Rolling Stone. In 1973, she was named chiefphotographer for the magazine. Some of her most notable cover shots were of John Lennon andOno, or Demi Moore. She continues to surprise the masses with creative, spectacular portraits ofwell-known celebrities across the world - even Queen Elizabeth. Leibovitz has three children, andcontinues to work today for Vogue, Disney, Vanity Fair, etc.
