The first time I visited Adiri Tribe was four years after it suffered the severe devastation of typhoon Morakot. Most of the villagers had been relocated, on the contrary, there are four families stayed in their original village. I started to think about how to survive in mountain without external resources? How to rebuild a relationship between man and nature? "Community relationship, Lifestyle and culture structure, Replacement of construction, Recovery of environment" will ILYLKLÄULKPU[OPZWYVQLJ[

C O M M O N P L A C ECOMMUNITY LIBRARY Design
The library is located in a community park, where the surrounding is complex use with high
apartment buildings, night market, houses...and so on. Therefore, the library is designed to
serve different groups of residents, and meanwhile act as a community center.
The Library is always there,
it quietly, humblely embrace the crowded city.

The project is about reconstructing a school in a tribe, which

The siteplan of school is of great importantce in this project. Firstly,
two schools are planed to build together on the same site. Secondly,
new campus is located on mountain near the tribe, children are
carried to school everyday by car. As a result, main entrance of
school is located directly on the road. When students enter the
school, they will be leaded to a square surrounded by office,
library, stadium, lecture hall and teachers’ dormitory. These central
spaces are on higher part of campus. Except school time, the
square also served as a place for festival. Afterward, they will meet
a avenue, which separated elementary and junior high classrooms.
Children in defferent grades play, picnic, reading together along the
avenue. At the end of the route, an open platform is hanging upon

With the participant of students from departments of Dance and
Architecture, the theme of the workshop focused on study of interaction
between body and space. Students are divided into six groups to deal
with different expression of “emotion”, such as horrible, exciting, sad…
and so on. Our group deals with the topic of “happy”. On the process of
discussion, we share our living experience with happy individually and try

But how do we turn paper into spring?
With folded technics, we may get the maximum resilience of paper.
Firstly, we make four sets of paper springs, which consisted of four smaller
paper springs each set. Besides, by the use of plastic ring and glue, the
connection of paper springs is possible. The last thing is transportation and
assembly. At the end of the workshop, our project is transported to Taipei
World Trade Center for exhibition.

Respecting urban context is always the key topic of constructing new building in an old city. The site
is located in the transition of commercial and residential district of Tainan city. We choose programs
corresponding to land value and operation of surrounding, including community center, shops, library,
and market.
The mix of residential and commercial buildings creates a lively region all day. We design a route for
people to walk easily into the district. At the end of the route is a temple, which served as the heart of
the community. Throughout design proposal, we want to activate the old part of the city.

We take “wave” as renovation concept of the district based on urban skyline. With gradient pattern of building heights, such as inner part is lower than outer part, to create broad views in city. By the way of renovating deserted buildings, city's life is revived.
