KindergartenMadrid 2012

The building is a kindergarten designed for children up to five years. It is located in the mu-nicipality of El Alamo, in the region of Madrid.

The proposal is based on a

single plant that occupies

an area of almost 2.000 m2. The plot

on which is the building

has about 5.500 m2.

The kindergarten has eleven classrooms with toilets, playground, administra-tion area, dining room, dressing rooms and two parking areas.

The buil-ding consists of two wings. The first area contains the classrooms, the other is intended to administration area. Both are connected by the cylindrical volume used as an auditorium. All of them delimitate the playground.

Industrial unitMalabo 2011

For the production of signaling elements and road maintenance services. Located in the neighborhood “La Caracola” belonging to the city of

Malabo (Equatorial Guinea).

The com-plex consists of an indus-trial building of 4.000 m2 whose dimen-sions are 80 m x 50 m. This building con-tains a module of two-storey offices. The plot, which has an area of 6.820 m2, also has a large parking area.

It has offices on ground

floor and an area intended

primarily for the main entrance and

the visitor’s attention.

There are also toilets and

entrances to the industrial

area.

Upstairs there is a waiting room that serves as a distributor between di-fferent spaces which are dedicated to uses such as design office, training room, management area and mee-ting room.

Single family houseLa Barrosa 2008

Housing project designed for a young couple without children and located near the beach of La Barrosa, in the town of Chiclana de la Frontera (Cadiz, Spain).

It consists of two distinct plants in use. Downstairs we find the typical diurnal distribution with access, kitchen, lounge and bathroom, while upstairs are situated two be-drooms with bathrooms.

The housing design is based on the creation of a white and smooth volume which stands out by the balcony belonging to the main bedroom. The various planes that emerge from this balcony give to the dwelling the image of a hollow and open box.

The house has a floor area

of 136 m2 spread over two floors.

It is located on a plot of approxi-

mately rectangu-lar shape which

occupies just over 1.000 m2.

Cultural centerCordoba 2006

Cultural center pro-ject designed to cover the demands of both students and the general public. Located in the “Poniente” District (Cordoba, Spain), which stands out for having a residential character.

The project proposes a solu-

tion that consists of two distinct buildings. On

the one hand we propose a separate auditorium, which has a complemen-tary value; on the other, a building of greater scale,

which will be the center of the

complex.

The central building is treated as an open plan space, which responds to a program that has a changing character. Thus the possible distributions do not depend on the structure.

The entire building is the

result of the fit of two pie-ces, one glass

and one wood, which are

opposite in the treatment

of the surfaces but comple-

mentary from a formal point

of view.

Multi-family buildingCordoba 2012

Proposal for a contest of affordable housing. It consists of a project and construction management of 120 homes in the plot O-5 of PP 3.3-A in Cordoba.

The developed project consists of 120 homes, whose design follows two distinct regimes: the municipal system and the regional one.

For both regimes housing type consists of

lounge, kitchen, three bedrooms,

bathroom and toilet. Also

planned two-bedroom homes.

All homes meet the

standards set from the

town planning regulations of

Cordoba. In addition they

all have linked garage and

storage room.

Proposal for a contest of affordable housing. It consists of a project and construction management of 24 houses of regional and municipal regime in Encinarejo (Cordoba, Spain).

The project consists of 24 detached single family homes, which must meet the requirements set by the General Plan of Cordoba in a usable area of 65 m2 and a maximum floor area of 85 m2.

The building regulations set a maximum occu-pancy of 50% plot and a maxi-mum length of 8 meters facade. The building should be aligned to the public road and be attached to private boun-daries and the bottom plot.

The dwelling consist of loun-ge, kitchen, two bathrooms and three bedrooms

on two floors. The height of

each of these is 3 meters. The

whole building complies with the maximum

height of 7 me-ters, established

from the city’s general plan.
