Location Maribor, Slovenia Slovenska street - Gledalika road Program Commercial and residential buildingLot Size 5000 m2

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECTLocation of the project is in a residential area on the edge of the nar-row center. Now there is a neglected area and it is not yet formed to the extence, that would convey a sense of positive energy and joy. When someone walks past the old city tower, there is no feeling about the importance of the medieval remains of an unregulated environ-ment.The purpose of the residential and commercial building is to brighten anonymous space and give it a new visibility. The new building has an organic shape that embraces the old house and adjust to the ground. It leaves a clear view for the people passing by overlooking the old tower, leaning away from tall buildings on the south side and tilting towards the park. The inclination of the building emphasizes the desire for connection with nature. The area is consisting of the prom-enade, market, trails and greenery, which is creating an attractive park to socialize, rest and relaxation. The lower floors of the building are made for cafes and shops. In the upper floors are appartments. The facade is designed in the form of a unique network of glass open-ings and fillers, which surrounds the form of a complex network of the bearing structure.

    National competition shortlisted

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECTProgram is arranged in form of two stripes. South stripe is designed for swimming pool and areas around it. The northern stripe is meant for all other programs. Built structures are forming L shape, which embraces area with outdoor swimming pool. Terraced design of the building blurs the line between the space around pools, building and roof - therefor, everything is usefull space. Terraces are multipurpose - they offer space for observation, relaxa-tion and games, which allows contact between swimmers in the pool and people who are relaxing beside the pool.

    PREDNOSTI TERASASTE KOLEZIJE:

  • RENOVATION AND CONSERVATIONHOLIDAY HOUSE IN VINJOLE

Study year 2011/2012Mentor prof. dr. iva Deu

    Location Vinjole, SloveniaProgram Holiday house

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECTVillage Vinjole, on the coastal region of Slovenia, is the location of an old holiday house. It is overlooking Piranski zaliv and surrounded with greens and away from the noisy crowds. It has been built in a typical Slovenian way - everyone has built a newer part without an architectural plan.We had a mission, to renovate a single family holiday house in to two-family holiday house. The client's wish was that the units are not strictly separated from each other, but work together sharing service areas and terrace. In addition, the emphasis was to improve the inner outher connection and the lighting with the view of Piranski zaliv.

Study year 2011/2012Mentor prof. Miguel Vidal Pla Location Barcelona, Spain Beijing, China

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECTIn cooperation with the Chinese school of architecture we worked on a large part of currently degraded area near Summer Palace. Our task was the reurbanisation of that area and placement of new water reservoir. The beginning of the project took place in Spain, the sequel was car-ried out in Beijing, China.

Concept: Relationship between water and earth. We created the strips of water canals and roads that supply areas in between them. Those newly created zones are different in size and have different purpose. The main ones and at the same time the big-gest ones are: farm land, forest, residential area, parking and water reservoir. The whole area is connected with the existing tram route.

Year 2013/2014Client Privatno Location Ljubljana, Slovenia

    IN REALIZATION

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECTInitial state of the existing buildings was relatively unappropriate for the creation of a pleasant residential unit. The upper floor was inap-propriately high and the lower floor a partial basement. Due to the fixed height and non possible changes in the external dimensions, it was reasonable to lower the ground floor to the appropriate height. Reconstruction of the external openings and set up of new walls, led to a nice apartment for a couple. It consists of three parts: the first is used for windbreak and entrance, followed by a wardrobe and bath-room. The second part is a large living area with kitchen, dining and living room. The third part, at the end is the bedroom with elegant working desk. Windows are compositionally and functionally positioned in relation to interior space.

We are in the 21st century and the stress is our everyday companion. That is the main reason that leads me to design a center, which is going to offer specially selected programs for stress management and people wellbeing.
