CONCLUSION
SUSTAINABILITY
Adaptability to other Transport systems
- On buses
- In other countries
Taxi stands
- Person waves hand,. Taxi stand lights up. Drivers would know that there is a passenger that wants to take the taxi
-- Cab drivers can easily know where there are a large number of people waiting to take a cab
Bus stops
- Similar to Taxi stands, except only a single bus stop number would light up
- Can help to track bus capacity
-- Allows bus drivers to know if there is a need to stop for passengers who want to board
Aeroplanes
- Indicating a queue for passengers who wish to use the toilet
- Indicating to an air stewardess that a passenger requires something
APPLICATIONS
Short Term
Find another way for people to indicate that they want to alightButtonsPhone applications
More ways to notify passengers of the alighting path- Vibrations- - Localised sound- Spotlights- Phone notifications
Long Term
OnOnce the culture of giving way to alighting passengers becomes second nature to all commuters, we may be able to replace the automated system with simple markings on the ground to denote the lanes. This will helped to save electricity.
