Social values and purpose
Our mission:
To provide opportunities in the form of activities and services for children, young people, families and the wider community, whereby they can increase their aspirations and levels of social engagement.
Our vision:
For individuals that access the activities and services to have an improved outcome such as to their skills, knowledge, self-perception, behaviour or attitude and in turn for them to benefit from a better quality of life from the difference that this has made.
Our aim:
To deliver specific activities and services which are identified as required within the localities. To trade services to allow us to continue to meet these needs and provide activities and services.
Our stakeholders:
We have a stakeholder group which will allow the organisation to draw partners and individuals together, from the statutory, voluntary, community and private sectors.
This approach should foster a common purpose whereby the whole community could benefit from a joint approach to delivery that would enable the community to flourish and reflect the multi-cultural and multi-faith diversity of the area.
Social enterprise:
We operate for the benefit of the community, where profits will be reinvested back into the company to allow us to continue to offer activities and services, for the communities to benefit.
Overview
Our background:
We have worked at the forefront of community leadership for many years which has included the co-ordination, delivery and implementation of educational programmes for children and young people; adult, family or community learning; staff training and wider wellbeing activities and services.

Our audience:
We provide services for a range of organisations such as schools children’s centres, community centres, faith groups, statutory partners and the community/voluntary sector.
Our activities:
For learning organisations our activities aim to support:

Quality of Teaching
RAISE CIC can assist with the improvement to the quality of teaching and learning, by aiding the development and creation of professional learning communities, to aid in the success of every student.
What can RAISE CIC do to assist the Quality of Teaching?
We can create a calendar of continual professional development tailored to your school’s individual needs. This can be aimed at teaching staff or support staff and could include the following:
E-bulletin service to promote CPD opportunities
Support to create a network of related professionals i.e. school business managers or teaching assistants including chairing meeting and minute taking
Support and co-ordination of specific meetings and activities
CPD aimed at a group of professionals i.e Teaching Assistants to share best practice
Provision of staff bulletin to promote work of PLC or relevant activities and services
Act as a point of contact for PLC/facilitate external communication from providers/LA
Range of specific CPD Opportunities
Support schools to broker their specific staff attributes to other schools

Research
RAISE CIC has experience of performing consultations,
evaluations and research projects. We can support your
organisation by offering the following:
Community consultations, audits, evaluations, feasibility studies or specific research projects. This can include from an informal consultation to a small-scale research project.
Facilitation of specific networking events with a range of partners offering activities and services.
Arrange forums or conferences with a marketplace where you can network or meet providers or partners.
Details of relevant community and voluntary sector organisations and attend specific events on behalf of your organisation.
Support for a specific initiative or event with an information stand or details around a specific topic or use it to collect valuable information from participants.
In order for the benefits of consultation to be maximised, it is crucial that consultation is considered strategically and that consultation exercises

Funding, Bid Writing and Project Management
RAISE CIC has experience of bid writing and project management. We can support your organisation by offering the following:
Tailored funding advice for your organisation and support you with making applications or signpost to additional providers.
A partnership matchmaking services for organisations looking to write specific funding bids.
Provision of a termly specific funding bulletin to promote relevant activities and services
Assist community groups or young people to acquire funding to benefit the local area.
Support for the creation of management committees, social enterprises or school PTAs.
Provide project management and work to create the bid, if organisations or individuals wish to apply for funding, but lack the skills or capacity to project manage the bid.
Social enterprise sits in the middle of a spectrum between the public and private sectors, generating revenue from both trading (for example sales of products and services) and grants in order to serve the public good. In an age of reduced public spending, social enterprise may well provide a solid platform through which services can be sustained.

What other aspects can RAISE CIC deliver to support individuals and a range of organisations within the community and local area?
Support to improve skills, local services or increase engagement, such as towards a school governor or community consultant. We will be running activities where you can do this or signpost you to alternative provision through our networks.
Assist individuals to start their own business, community organisation, PTA, user forum or management committee. We can support you to do this and signpost you to organisations where you can receive further support.
Help to improve skills to change jobs, create a CV, search for suitable jobs or courses. We can offer specific courses or information, advice and guidance so you can determine your next steps or signpost within our existing network of providers.
A learning or community organisation would like to offer bespoke training or community learning courses. We have experience in offering adult learning and with our range of tutors and trainers could assist to deliver this in your organisation.
Do you want to complete a community audit or study, but are unsure where to start? Do you want to determine the effectiveness of your current services and activities, but do not have the capacity to do this? We have experience of performing community consultations, carrying out monitoring, reviews, evaluations and specific research projects.
Support to acquire funding for a community organisation. You might need to work in partnership or lack the skills to write bids or manage the project. We can work with you.
Assist to increase the community involvement or partners within your community organisation. We can arrange a community audit for you or match make with providers already on our database.
Facilitation of meetings, training events and conferences. We could create networks of professionals associated to your organisation or organise your meetings or training events.
Offer a community directory of services and activities for your learning organisation. We are constantly auditing local provision and we can provide this for you.
