Taiwanese wedding process & customs

Wedding Customs change with time, they are not as complicated as past. represents customs still wildly execute nowadays, and are the customs I choose to develop my designs.

【婚禮助手】台灣禮俗用品新設計



Directions

Top

In Taiwanese wedding, most family will prepare a rice filter and use it to cover the bride’s head when she gets in and off the car. The top has equal function as it, but more modern, exquisite and decorative.

Bottom

When a man and his family visit his fiancée’s family for the first time, they will bring some gifts, and the fiancée will prepare some sweet tea for every guest. After drinking, guests will put red envelopes in their tea cups, and return to the fiancée. The bottom is made of wood, can be used as tea tray.

Bottom + Handle

After wedding banquet, groom and bride will prepare some favors for their guests, the bottom with handle can be a wedding basket, and easy to add decorations.

Or......

Because every part of this product is movable, users can mix or disassemble randomly as they want.

Golden Egg



Directions

Activate

After downloading, users s h o u l d a c t i v a t e w i t h 2 different mobile devices. To activating for the first time, “Golden Egg” will automatically search for the other devices containing same App. After 2 mobile devices connected, users will see two chickens holding a key on screen. Whi le tapping keys simultaneously, the APP will activate, and only the users can check and edit data.

Enter password

The entering way is similar to a safe. User can drag the egg icon clockwise or counterclockwise, and tag “GO!” to continue. If the order were wrong, the egg will be broken; user should tap “OH!” and reenter. If the order were correct, egg will turn into chick, and user can enter by tapping “OK!”.


Clear interface

The main interface is designed as a calendar. User can easily check and edit data by simply tapping date.

All income and expense will be cataloged by different items and payment.

Asset in order

All property and debts are shown together, and can check one by one.

Easy asset check

Asset s tatement of every month can be checked by one simple tap.

Flexible setting

User can change several items as personal need.

Sweet+


Introductions

When we celebrate one’s birthday, there will usually has a birthday cake. It is important to put some candles on it. Not only their quantity represent ages of the birthday person, their flame also give us a feeling of warmth and happiness.

But after celebration, candles become odd. Few people try to keep it, but most will throw it away as waste.

To last birthday candle’s life and avoid wasting, Sweet+ is made from eatable wax with tasty flavors. We can put it on cake and light it up as normal candle. It will smoothly melt while burning, then turning to flavored liquid. When flame goes out, there will be some topping on the cake.

Why so serious?

Let's plait a plate!


Introductions

Plait /plet/

noun// A hairdo formed by braiding or twisting the hair.verb// Weave into plaits.

This project was cooperated with Vera Chiu and combine with the other works of us as a series of tableware called “戲具 (xi ju)”.

It is a word with double meaning. To pronounce it in Chinese, it is a homonym of “戲劇 (xi ju)”, which means drama. To look into the significance, “戲 (xi)” can represent as a drama, a game, or some trick; as for“具 (ju)”, it means tool.

We thought that sometimes people seems to be too serious while dining. The tableware creates a relaxing and interesting atmosphere while having meals.

In exhibition, we encourage people to pick up the tableware and try to use them, hoping all the audiences can have more interaction with our works and have fun through the process.

The handles of folk and knife are made of Epoxy and wig.

To plait wig into plaits at first, and smear Epoxy on them, wait for 24 hours until dry.

2. Put photographs in Photoshop, turn into black and white at first, then use "positive film" filter.
