I first got int into architecture in high school when i had to select an elective my ssenior year. From there i decided to continue the path of drafting at Los Angeles Harbor College, so i enrolled in a drafting class. While at Harbor College i learned of the design classes they have to offer, so i decided to enroll in one of the 101 classes. This is when i

found my passion for architecture. the weight it bears on civilizion and how it has

influcenced the course on man was bewildering to me, which into empowered me to pursue this field on work and study. so i continued my education into the design series along with computer aided programs that are needed to attain my A.s. along with G.E. classes.

During my 202 semester i joined the team at e7 architecture studio in l.a. and helped them

with projects in the LACCD. While working at e7 i gain the insight and knowledge that

goes behind building and designing a project. The amount of man power and cordination

that is required is amazing and as furthured my pursuite into the field.

During the semester we where give the task of creating our own hab unit. The location was along a cliff. The minimum requirements where that 400 sq. devoted to living space. While 200 squre feet be dedicated to sleep-ing space. Kitchen and bathroom where not to included in the design.

During the course of Env. 101 we givin projects to explore spacial order, nega-tive space, team work, and the golden mean.

WE where given a Architect and had to create a case study from their work.

Env. 201 Infill

Project:Infill on 3rd st.

Location:Santa Monica prome-nade

Parameters:9000 sq. ft. allocated for office space

9000 sq. ft. allocated for reatail space

2000 sq ft. allocated for cafe space.

7Using what i learned from Mies architecture, the infill i designed was 50 percent mies and 50 per-cent chris. This was a great project for explor-

ing seperation of

planes and how they

interact with the space around them. Store fronts where the major conserin of the infill, so placing the

businesses was a stra-tigic dilemma that proved

to be a great learning experience.

1110 E7 Architecture Studio While working at E7 Architecture studios i had the plea-

sure of working with great people on projects

would that help build the infastructure of the

LACCD campuses. Some of the projects i got to work on included the CDC at VAlley college, SBS at east lA, General class rooms at west LA, and THe science build-ing at harbor. These project expanded my knowledge of the industry by ten fold and how much work goes into the

projects. It was a great learning experience that

gained me great knownledge in computer programs.

While at E7 architecture stu-

dio i got the oppertunity to work on R&D work. The studio is testing a real time rendering engine that could replace the use of 3ds max animations therefore getting rid of the lengthly rendering time.

This work was complex yet fun at the same time we discov-ered it was possiable to put an entire campus into one build.

All that information locked into a single build was a great break through.

1312 Project:Ceramica Museum

Location:6th st. and AlamitosLong Beach

Parameters:7000 sq. ft. for museum

1250 sq. ft for adminis-traion

5200 sq. ft. for community

7650 sq. ft. for parking

For this project i used the process that is done when creating clay and forming it. I wanted each space which included Sculpture garden, administration, community center, and the museum to represent

the four stages of creating ceramic art. The sculpture garden

would represent the digging of the clay, The administraion

would represent the sorting of the clay, The community cen-

ter would repersent the forming of the clay, Finally the museum

would represent the firing of the clay, Through this concept i hoped to attract the community into these spaces while keeping them in the spac-es that are meant for them.
