As a Lead Project Architect, I was responsible for planning and design of the Sub-acute, Rehabilitative & Palliative Care Facilities in the project. In addition, I was leading the design and coordination of the clinical interiors in the all three building types. I have developed the strategies for the IPU design and planning principles including the ventilation strategies, expandability, convertibility and adaptive acuity strategies. In addition to the planning and design responsibility, I was lead coordinator of the scheduling and the programming of the project execution plan.

Woodlands Integrated Health Campus - Singapore B+H Architects + Aedas

2015 Project value: USD 1.5 bln

Role: Project Lead Architect

The Woodlands Integrated Healthcare Campus is 1800 bed integrated hospital project. The project includes 800 bed acute hospital, 600 beds community hospital, and a long-term nursing hospital for 400 patients.

As a Lead Project Architect, I was responsible for planning and design of the Sub-acute, Rehabilitative & Palliative Care Facilities in the project. In addition, I was leading the design and coordination of the clinical interiors in the all three building types. Singapore General Hospital – Singapore B+H Architects

2013-2015 Project Value: USD 980 mln

Role: Project Director

Singapore General Hospital is a 740 beds sub-acute community hospital. The hospital project includes a 20’000 sqm rehab center, a logistics hub for the SGH campus and 30’000 sqm medical building. The project total area is 150’000 sqm. The project is a Green Mark Platinum awarded hospital and it is conforming to a very high standard of energy conservation in Singapore. As a project lead architect and project manager, I was responsible for the design, planning, and design development lead of the project architectural, clinical planning, and the interiors scope. I was responsible for client liaison, user group meetings, and production of project documentation required for formal application for ministry of Health and finance approvals also known as the Gateway process. The project team included 20 architects, Clinical planners, ID designers, located in B+H offices in Beijing, Vietnam, and Toronto.

Niagara Health System Hospital – St. Catharine, Ontario B+H Architects

2009-2011 Project Value: USD 550 mln

Role: Job Captain/ Project Architect

NHS is a private 375 beds regional hospital and a national cancer center. NHS is a P3 project (Public/Private Partnership). The hospital project included Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging Department, Surgical Services, Mother and Child Deptartment, Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease Department, and the National Regional Cancer Center. The project has achieved LEED Gold certification. The project area is 100’000 sqm.

As a job captain and Lead project architect, I was responsible for the management of design development process, wining RFP entry. I was responsible for the preparation, coordination, and production of the project construction documents including FFE coordination, interior design, and architectural scope. I was also the project contract site architect responsible for the site coordination, drawings review and project supervision.

Clinical Design Reviewer / Peer Review: B+H Architects Project value: 240 mlnChangi Integrated health building - Singapore: 2012 – 2015 Construction completed

Changi IB Hospital is an acute general hospital offering a wide range of acute care services. It includes 270 acute care Inpatient Medical/Surgical beds. Its major areas of clinical emphasis include geriatric medicine, diagnostic imaging, surgery, intensive care unit, and rehabilitation Centre.

As a peer reviewer my responsibilities included review of design process for clinical planning of the diagnostic imaging department and the medical/surgical inpatient units.

Clinical Design Reviewer / Peer review: B+H Architects Project value: 130 mln Gleneagles Medini Hospital - Johore , Malaysia: 2013 – under construction

A 450-bed healthcare complex located in Johore, Malaysia. B+H and STH recently won the design competition for this private healthcare complex owned by Parkway Group. The project will be built in 3 phases on a 14-acre site. The hospital offers A&E services, Diagnostic Imaging, Cancer Treatment Center, Surgical services, critical care unit, obstetrics, NICU, rehab center, and chronic kidney disease unit. As a clinical peer reviewer my responsibilities included review of clinical planning of the diagnostic imaging department, nuclear medicine department and the med/surg inpatient units. I have also assisted the site supervision staff in reviewing shop drawings and RFI’s.

Architect: OHA JV N+D Architects Kuwait Cancer Control Center - Kuwait: 2002 –2003

The Kuwait Cancer Control Center is a government center dedicated to the treatment and care of cancer patients in the state of Kuwait. The Center provide the following patient care facilities: Radiology and Nuclear medicine, outpatient clinics including chemotherapy outpatient clinic, radiation therapy, and surgical outpatient clinic. As a staff architect, I have assisted in the production of the design development drawings. Upon approval by statutory AHJ, I have assisted in the production of the construction documentation for tender.

Faculty of Law, University of Toronto – Toronto, Ontario B+H Architects JV HPA

2011-2012 Project Value: USD 40mln

Role: Job Captain/ Project Lead

As the executive architects, B+H Architects were responsible for the Development of the winning design for the expansion and renovation of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law building. The design for the Jackman Law Building envisions a site with three distinct elements: Following the movement of Hoskin Avenue, a new crescent-shaped three-storey building, an extensive interior renovation to the Bora Laskin Law Library, and a light renovation to historic Flavelle House. The new building will increase the existing faculty space by 50%, adding 66,000 square feet to the campus.

As the Job Captain, I was responsible for the development, coordination, and preparation of the design development documents and final tender documents of the project. The project received the 2013 Canadian Architect Award of Excellence.

Özdilek Centre - Istanbul, Turkey B+H Architects

Role: Design Architect

The location for this project called for a contemporary mixed-use complex to transform the constricted urban site into multi-layered development Site geometry and the significant difference in levels between its eastern and western edge suggested the concept which was also inspired by the mountain river cascading between two hills. Two public plazas at opposite ends of the site are anchored by a 38-storey hotel/office tower and37-storey condominium tower.Project area is 250’000 sq.m .

As design architect on the project I was responsible for the design development of the winning design completion. I was responsible for the design and planning of the 400 bed Hotel and the 37 storey Condo tower.

Barwa Financial Centre - Doha , Qatar KEO International Consultants

2006-2007 Project Value: USD 2 bln

Role: Design Architect

This prestigious high-end mixed use development is located in Doha west bay in the heart of Doha's business district. The project ambitious program called for 300,000 sqm of rentable office space, 10,000 of podium retail shops, a 5 star hotel and a conference facility, and an iconic mosque. To accommodate this enormous program in the site. Several master plans were developed. This design concept for this prestigious project is based on a double spiral shape consisting of an inner and outer ring of towers. The two nautilus forms spiral in height in opposing directions to create a dynamic flow of movement and energy which is created within the development.

As project designer my responsibility was to assist in developing master plan concept design alternatives, two schemes were presented to the client. Kuwait Business Town - Kuwait City KEO International Consultants

2005-2006 Project Value: USD 65 mln

Role: Design Architect

Kuwait business town is a technology driven commercial development consisting of 6 office towers, a five stars hotel, a multi-storey car park and urban plaza. Total site area is slightly over 20000 sq.m , total built up area for the development is over 140000 sq.m . The first phase of the project consisted of two office towers, the multi-story car park, and the urban plaza. The lead tower is 40 story high and the second tower is 35 story high. Owner: Almazaya Real-estate Company. Status of the project: under construction. Estimated budget: 33,000,000 KD

NREC Hotel Portfolio - Abu Dhabi Shams Island KEO International Consultants

Role: Design Architect

As part of the hotels portfolio for the National Real Estate Company which includes six , four star hotels in Dubai, Amman, Beirut , Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, and Irbil. This mixed use complex consist of 200 rooms four star hotel and office tower. The podium include the hotel main entrance and lobby .it also include two story retail mall that opens to the shams man made canal board walk. Two levels of parking separate the towers and the podium.

Duqm Crown Plaza Beach Hotel - Duqm, Oman KEO International Consultants

2004-2006 Project Value: USD 200 mln

Role: Project Design Architect

The Duqum Beach Hotel is proposed about 450 km south of Muscat on an 180,000 sqm of land adjacent to the Indian Ocean. The project comprises of a 200 room hotel, 28 Chalets, numerous F & B outlets, health spa, Meeting & Banquet Facilities with a potential second phase serviced apartments.

The design results from an intricate merging of a business oriented hotel and a resort oriented hotel within a rugged ocean front landscape. Aspects of traditional Omani architecture, spaces, and decoration have been studied to create something which belongs to Duqm in a meaningful and contemporary manner

Kuwait Investment Authority KEO International Consultants

2006-2007 Project Value: USD 650 mln

Role: Senior Design Architect

The design Competition called for the design for the new headquarters for the Kuwait Investment Authority. The designed called for an innovative unique design, a functional and flexible design, and an environmentally sustainable design. The project's 11000 square meter site is located in Kuwait city .the design optimizes the long narrow site and creates an iconic building that incorporates cultural Kuwaiti motifs and traditional architecture sustainable design. The project is comprised of 40 story office tower, and a conference facility. The tower design is based on the traditional concept of court yards, which is deeply rooted in the local architecture. In addition it provides the maximum flexibility and a desirable internal environment. The design of the façade was inspired by Kuwaiti architecture. As a team member my contribution to the design included the design of the external building envelops and massing. In addition to that I have designed interior spaces such as the conference room, the main lobby, and the lift lobbies.
