What would you like to see come Christmas morning wrapped

book, or game? This time of year is so exciting, filled with love
and happiness. We always wonder what presents we will be
able to open, but do we ever think to ask: What can I give?
One of the best gifts you can give to your family this year is
becoming committed to living the Cub Scout Promise. The
words in that promise have great meaning, and think of how
they are helping to make you become a better person. The first
promise you made is to do your best to do your duty to God
and your country. You put God first and do what you know

He wants you to do. You do what you can for your country and are a good citizen.
Next, you promise to help others, which means your family, friends, and strangers.
When you see a need, you step in to help without being asked. Finally, you promise
to obey the Law of the Pack. Part of the Law is to give good will. Little things can
make a big dierence in life. You can make a dierence.
This Christmas dont forget the joy that comes from giving; especially giving of
yoruself. Heavenly Father gave us His Son, Jesus Christ, whose birth we celebrate
now. May we always remember Him and his example.
This month the Cub Scout theme is Respect. When we respect something, we treat
it well; espceially if the thing does not belong to us. Likewise, when respecting a
person, we treat them well.
Every person is a child of God,
and has their own unique
personality, talents, and beliefs.
We do not have to agree with a
person to be able to treat them
with kindness and respect.
Respect is an essential trait for
all who wish to be successful
in life.
