PORTFOLIO

INTRODUCTION

My name is Angie Soliman, an Egyptian freelance Designer living Jeddah, Bahrain, and Alexandria,

Egypt.

All my works go under the name of Ravenor’s; it’s my one-woman design studio.

In my work I focus on simplicity and sophistication while sticking to minimalism and modernism as

much as the concept would allow. I wouldn’t place my design style under any specific category; it’s

simply eclectic.

I’ve designed Residential, Hospitality, Commercial, and Corporate Spaces, as well as, my fair share

of Furniture and Graphics.

My career history includes working as a designer or as a project coordinator in design

studios/companies like Value’s Interior Design and Furniture, Evic Engineering Consultancy and

Sama Dimensions.

In this portfolio, let me show you a sample of all that I have worked on, learned, and what I am capable

of.

TASTEFUL IS NOW PART OF THE HEALING PROCESS…

This is a university project that was accredited by my course instructors as “ready to be built tomorrow”.

Prism ER & Trauma has a personal backstory, so I made sure that I took care of all the small details.

The emergency center has 4 wings: Critical, Non Critical, Ambulance hub, and an ICU.

It also has a cafeteria, pharmacy, day care play area, OR, radiology department, quiet zones, OR (with prep and recovery), and a staff lounge.

FURNITURE

NO MORE FEET DANGLING OFF CHAIRS OR CRAMPED CLOSETS…

It’s safe to say that furniture

design is one of my strong

suites. I like designing

things that are comfortable

and aesthetically pleasing.

As an interior designer, it’s a

plus to be able to design

custom pieces that go with

our concepts or spaces.

After all, the market is vast,

but it doesn’t have

everything.

REALISTIC PREVIEWS KEEP CLIENTS HAPPY…

The only programs I use to

generate all my design

documents are Sketchup 3D

design and VRay rendering

engine. I started three years

ago and I have come a long

way ever since; creating my

own templates, settings, and

materials is one of the tricks

I have up my sleeve to

produce the quality of

images that I have displayed

here.

PROJECT

“DO WHAT YOU LOVE, AND YOU’LL NEVER HAVE TO WORK A DAY IN YOUR

LIFE...”

-WELL SAID

This small cabin is perfectly spaced for a single person or a couple, yet can host up to 7 guests comfortably.

The kitchen is full with all needed equipment, including a dishwasher under the island counter.

A bathroom that hosts a hybrid washer/dryer, a sleeping area, dressing room, work corner, book corner, small dining for two, the TV area, and a big terrace fit for a BBQ Party.

The earthy tones, tribal/animal patterns, wooden floors, and cozy furniture are the prominent elements in this board, but the renders show the whole story.

SMALL MODERN

CABIN

CABIN ENTRANCE Modern secure door, with fogged glass panels.

TV COUCH, AND BOOK CORNER Poufy furniture for both seats for maximum comfort. Ideal for hosting multiple

guests as well.

DINING COUNTER The counter has two high stools, but can take up to 5 people dinning comfortably.

The dishwasher is hidden in the Island, which serves as extra prep space.

FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN The kitchen has a fridge, oven, electrical stove, stove hood, sink, dishwasher, and a

microwave behind the doors above the hood. The flooring is linoleum to prevent

accidents or spill stains. The glass bathroom door and bedroom curtains show in the

south corridor, as well as the hamper in the dressing area.

BATHROOM The bathroom’s glass door is faced with a partition for privacy; the partition has an

engraved wooded panel for an interesting texture. The pattern continues on the

glass window near the ceiling that allows in natural lighting during the day.

The wall is 75% tiles, the rest is bare stone bricks to link all the interior, also for a

visual interest.

The counter’s mirror is back lit.

This wall is on the other side of the bathroom, natural light comes in thru the

series of windows on the North side. From here you can see a part of the terrace

and the work desk corner.

NORTH CORRIDOR

BED SPACE The “bedroom” is only big enough for a bed, futon, and two small side tables, to

keep all of life’s clutter outside, and the heavy floor to ceiling curtains block out

light as well as an distractions from sleep.

The bed space’s walls don’t lack in texture, or interest. A Buddha painting with his

eyes closed is there to play an extra role for this space to send its occupants

straight to dreamland.

DRESSING ROOM The only access to this area, like the bathroom, is from the South Corridor; in this

picture you can see the shoes’ closet, dressing table, and a small closet. All mirrors are

backlit (dressing table) but when the light is off (closet) the design peeks thru.

The other corridor is blocked off with floating shelves and a textured partition. Opposite

for those, if the Large Closet that matches the design of the rest or the area. A small

Zebra hide rug and a lot of mirrors give the room a little bit of glamor and a lot of light.

From this side, you can see the hamper that has two bins, for different types of

Landry with a lamp and a bonsai plant, to complete the feel of the room, and work

as utility too.
