„entfalten“ consists of 25 plywood squares conected by hinges and magnets. The plywood squares form a box, which can be unfolded into a flat image. Folded to a box it serves as its own packaging device. The work breaks the border between sculpture and flat image.

Benedikt Dichgans hired the streaker Mark Roberts to streak through Tate Britain on the 30th of November 2011. The work is asking questions on the difference between the economy of attention in the stadium and the museum space.

In the video work »eine Minute / eine Minute«, exhibition spaces are shown in a fixed-camera position. After some time the light is switched off and the space remains in the dark.

When the light in the exhibition is turned off, the museum space becomes concealed and transformed; it is in this moment that the art is retracted from the eyes of the spectator. The museum space, providing a specific frame of context is shifted from a public to a private view. The museum is a place that collects, conserves and thereby tries to suspend time. There is then a return to fragility and temporality to the art and the exhibition space when the light is switched off.

»Mit Speck fängt man Mäuse« (»With bacon you catch mice«)pal video stereo 61:00 min / 2009

The video shows the set up of a mouse trap in a cellar. The trap is left until the camera tape is full. It is uncertain whether a mouse is caught or not. For the spectator, who only views the video for a certain time, it is not possible to see if a mouse is caught. He is fixed in the suspense of his own expectations and imaginations.
