Connect different lifestyles, Paris, the street life, St Ouen and its traditional flea. Redensify the area, redensify the activity.

LAYER As A cONcEPT

Settled in Prague, the natioanl library takes place in the roots of the city. 60.000 m2 of memory in a city which was the theater of many historics events.Prague, as a stage is revealed and traveled layer after layer. The library is as an image of the city and can be discovered through a layering which unveiled the famous city of the hundred spires. Place of encounter, exchange and history, the library become a real stage in Prague.

The swan island, a parisian promenade half way of the Grenelle tower of the 15e and the Haussmannian Paris in 16e side, turn into a music city.Build on a set of rules defined by points of view the city rise, framing the Eiffel tower, The liberty statue and the tours’ skyline.Traverse with a central walk, therethrough and passed through light which is opening on the Seine’s shore.

Courreges, in his design, care about the meaning of the hem. How do a stripesrythm a piece. A piece which float andsurround the body. Courreges fashionline is netn thick but light, rythmed butunified.As it, this pavilion explore the hem as a conceptual way to design.Void ans thickness.

Being involved with the designer creation by walking trough thethickness of both his work andpavilion.

WAlK into tHe HeM

In his work, Courrèges always took care of the hem. About, how, the ligne of this edge could rhythm a clothing. How a piece of textile will float and surround a body.

His fashion is composed of simple geometric and net ligne. The fabric is thick but doesn’t take off the lightness of the garment. It’s a contrasted fashion, rhythm by the seam and unified by colour.

The pavillon is meant as this seam and explore the hem as a conceptual tool. Emptiness and thickness. The idea is to have the impression to be in the core of the garment, in the thickness of the hem. The visitor then discover Courreges through the density of both his work and pavilion.

HiGHly ConSCiouS DeSiGn

As designer, the protection of vunerable reality requieres a change of habit. In order to change it, let’s design for one of this communities: the trees.The aim is to instore a new kind of relationship between trees and citizens. Give to the trees, «they» will gave it back. Our proposal is a new urban typology which will serves nature as us, on the same level. The trees vulnerability will be over. Our devotion and care to «them», will turned «them» into a stronger urban community, more involved and present everyday.

MetroPoliS AnD MoBility DeSiGn CHArette

Our proposal is based on the scenario that car will no longer be used. We wondered what will become of every element car related. Those spaces become fields of possibilities for a re-densification of Cincinnati as well as potential new path of dynamism.

Transportation in Cincinnati would be based on a three-tier system. Long-range transit will be handled by zeppelins, which would connect to locations across town and to other cities. The light rail service would radiate out of the city center and across other major corridors. The zip line and gondola system would serve within neighborhoods and connect residencies and local services to the light rail. Bicycle paths and pedestrian ways would also be built to connect communities. These services would converge at major hubs, providing an important location for transit-oriented development. These hubs would also be the gateways to the neighborhoods they service and could be major community centers providing entertainment, government, and business services.

The magnetic attraction reveal a movement, an invisible connection between different element. Connection of the same type exist between human being, as beings and architecture.
