PHOTOGRAPHY

These

photographs are

a part of

Advanced Pho-

tography course.

We created a

small set and

tried showing

a story through

the photographs.

All the

photographs are

taken using

Canon 500 D.

STOPMOTION

CLAYMATION

“As you like it”

is a fun project

done as a college

assignment. The

theme of the

story is Facebook

and how people

have gone

crazy for the

publicity and

likes they get on

their posts.

Click on

“CLAYMATION”

to watch the full

video.

Page 5: Portfolio

PIXILATION

“Metalhead” is a

small spoof on the

character

Magneto from

the X-Men series.

The video revolves

around a person

who thinks he has

powers like Mag-

neto and tries to

attract metallic

things. Turns out he

actually has those

powers, but just

doesn’t know how

to control them.

Click on “PIXILA-

TION” to watch the

full video.

BACKGROUND

These layouts and blue

render are a part of the

Background and Layouting

course. We were provided with a story of which

we had to make a story board.

From the storyboard a

panel was selected for its

background and layouting.

CHARACTER DESIGN

This is the character

designed for the Character Design

course. In the course, we took a person from our batch and based on their physical

attributes, we designed a dif-

ferent character.My character’s

name is Ms. Mew.

FEAR

These are a few stills from an ab-stract animation done as a studio assignment. The

theme for the animation was “Bhaya Rasa”

or the emotion of fear. The mu-

sic piece was provided by the faculty and the

assignment was to make abstract

animation on the same. Click on “2D ANIMA-

TION” for the full movie.

Page 9: Portfolio

COLA-COLA

These are stills from a 2D flash animation I did

as a studio assignment. “Cola-Cola”

talks about the changes that

take place in a human body in

an hour after having one can of cola. Click on “COLA-COLA”

for the full video.

MAYA MODELLING

These are the two models I created using

Autodesk Maya. The assignment

was to model a human body.

And then changing one of its parts to make a crea-

ture of our own. Thus, I replaced the head with a

skull. Along with the skull I added horns and a tail

to make a demonic crea-

ture.

Page 11: Portfolio

MAYA TEXTURING

As a part of basic

texturing

assignment, I

textured a simple

box as a wooden

crate and

another as a dice

using the help of

Photoshop and

bump maps.

Page 12: Portfolio

MAYA LIGHTING

The assignment was to create a chosen ambi-ence through lighting. The

textured mod-el of the room was provided

to the students. The first picture

(above) is the composed layer which I achieved

using Adobe Photoshop. The ones below are colour pass and occlusion pass respectively.

For the video, click on

“INTERIOR- ROOM”.

Page 13: Portfolio

The second part of the assign-

ment was to do exterior lighting

on a castle. A textured model of a castle was

provided by the faculty. The first picture is the composed layer achieved

using Adobe Photoshop. The ones below are colour pass and occlusion pass

respectively. For the video, click

on “EXTERIOR - CASTLE”.

MISCELLANEOUS

‘BOOK COVER DESIGN’

I wanted to explore a few elements of

graphic design. For the same I

did a book cover design of the

novel “Does he know a moth-er’s heart?” as

my first explora-tion. I aslo de-signed a small

and simple form to depict moth-

er and child which I used in

two of my covers.

Page 15: Portfolio

This is maga-zine layouting I did as another

exploration. The first lay-

out is designed by me and the

second, i.e. the one below is the origional

spread of Kyoo-rius magazine. My objective

was to keep the content of the

origional spread same without cutting out on anything, and making a new

layuot.

Page 16: Portfolio

SKILLS

I like to play with different

mediums so that I understand

what medium suits the best to

communicate different emo-

tions. These are a few explora-

tions I tried with mediums like

dry pastel, char-coal and water

paints.

Page 17: Portfolio

ILLUSTRATIONS

These are a few illustrations done

in college and others as a hob-

by. Few which are assignments

have a sroty is related to them. Others are just an imitation of my thoughts. I

have tried work-ing with different

mediums like charcoal, post-

er and water paints, dry pas-tels, sketching

pencils, coloured pens, etc.

SKETCHBOOK

These are

a few

compositions

and rough

sketches

from my

sketchbook.

I am an ambitious and determined person. To me world is a sea of talent and it inspires me everyday. I find stop motion a very interesting way to communicate

ideas. Having my ideas conveyed through this medium is enjoyable to me. I am a very active and jumpy person which I think helps me as an animator. I am passionate

about comics and concept art and would like to pursue it in future.
