As an active member of the American Institute of Architecture Students I participated in monthly membership meetings and documented organization events as the historian. My involvement with the Freedom by Design team consisted of consulting and designing for our Devereux Georgia Treatment clients. As the design team we worked together to apply practical resources to come up with a cost effective architectural design for an outdoor classroom for children with behavioral problems. By becoming a member of Freedom by Design I continued to enhance my team work and communication skills. During my participation in the AIA Atlanta Student Mentoring Program, I mentored under registered architect William Abballe. I participated in weekly professional development meetings with discussions on post graduate plans and progressive steps for the future of my career. Through this program I was allowed to network with 93 architecture students within the SPSU and Georgia Tech mentorship program. I utilized my organization skills and furthered my plan¬ning initiatives for the future.
