As a proposal to the for the South entrance of the City ofLas Palmas de Gran Canaria, this proyect was made to resolve the divisionof the neightborhood of San Cristobal from the rest of the city because of theHighway, at the same time that gives a new picture to the degraded view ofthis side of the island.
Like a muscle struggling for not being tear up, this platform holds inbetween this 2 zones while providing new open areas thought to rescue oldhabits lost here. Sp
the famous non interrupted seafront “avenida marítima”that leads from LasAlcaravaneras to La Laja will set up the pedestrian imagethat this turistic city wants to sell.

As an expansion of the Sport City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, thisNautic Center has been designed as a conection system that integrate itselfinside the beautiful port view of San Cristóbal, the only sea-side neighborhood ofthe east side of the capital. Placed in a huge space where once was a waterfactory, the proyect takes on this obsolet area to combine public space throughpedestrian conection, urban needs solving some highway issues and anintegrated building that matches perfectly what the city and this district requires ofa proyect of this scale.
The result is a new sea front that will surprise for the variety of its programmethanks to the restaurant promenade, the unique shape of its reception room, theauditorium and its viewpoint walk, the sail boat offer of the nautic center embrace bythe breakwater of the fisher town, and the exquisite wood furniture designed cabinrooms available for invited sport teams.

This proyect was born as an altertanative proposal for the always difficult to dealarea of los Riscos in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. A State-subsidized apartment, thisbuilding was chosen amongst the others for being the best managing the promoters'srequiremen. Giving the maximum useful space due to a clever reorder of the duplexliving houses, it allows each appartment to have 2 facades thanks to the connectioncorridors, which detriment allows more space .
The Inner courtyard is left as an absorbing space where the light is filteredthrough the passing houses that goes from side to side, shaping shifting shadows.Last, the design of the facade was thought for the integration of the building into theemblematic urban view of Los Riscos.
