2. APLICATION LETTER

Milos Stankovic Svetozara Radojcica 68b

11151 Belgrade

Serbia

To whom it may concern,

My name is Milos Stankovic. I am graduated mechanical engineer, specialized on Mechanical

Handling, Constructions and Logistic. I am writing this letter in order to apply for position of

“Mechanical Design Engineer”. Considering the profile of engineer you’re looking for, I believe that I

could fully satisfy demanded criteria.

Information of my so far career is given in my CV. But I would like to emphasize some of my

activities which hopefully increase my qualifications for this job. I had training in worldwide famous

cement plant “Holcim” where I got familiar with all the processes in cement production. Being part of

such a huge system was very important experience for me. I spent five weeks in Italy attending course

“Structural Design by Experiments”, organized by University of Bologna, under the patronage of

Ministry of foreign affairs of Italy. There I had chance to see and use different techniques of strain and

stress measurement like “Strain-Gauge Techniques”, “Optical Method” and “Advanced Optical

Method”. Working with Solid Works and Ansys was also subject of the course.

I would also like to mention my engagement at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, where

I assist on courses “Modeling of Shapes” (usage of CATIA V5 software), and “Machine Elements”. I

am coauthor of the book, entitled “Modeliranje masinskih delova slozenih oblika” (Modeling of

complex shape parts), which explains usage of CATIA software, module “Generative Shape Design”.

I note that I am advanced user of “Auto CAD” software, certified by school „ABEL“, which use to

represent Autodesk in Serbia. I’m also familiar with Autodesk Inventor.

I own diploma which is recognized by authorized institution in Norway – NOKUT (please find in this

document at the page 25).

For any additional information do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail or phone number specified in

my CV. Thank you for your time and hope for further successful cooperation.

Sincerely,

Milos Stankovic

3. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

1. Aleksej Makarov, PhD – senior researcher in signal and image processing, Project manager, at

Vlatakom d.o.o.

2. Prof. Dr Milosav Ognjanovic, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

6

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I work as Chief Technical Officer with Vlatacom doo, Belgrade. I am in charge of selecting Computer

Science, Electronics and Mechanical engineers for development, design and production openings. I am

proud that about 50 engineers I recruited and assigned to their positions have made out of our

company a hi-tech leader in public safety, e-Government and security systems and products.

Miloš applied for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer with our company and ranked second

among 107 candidates. It was a very difficult decision to select a very experienced candidate over

Miloš. On one hand, I had to choose a single multi-disciplinary expert, and on the other I had to forgo

Miloš's academic successes, passion for mechanical design, enthusiasm and continuous self-

improvement efforts. I recommend Miloš as a very diligent, enthusiastic and goal-oriented mechanical

engineer who will strive hard to attain the objectives of any feasible project at hand. Miloš nurtures

passion for mechanical design and structural simulation based on Finite Element Methods. He is eager

to learn and to create. His best bet for development is within a technologically challenging and skilled

environment. If you work in such a place, please consider Miloš as your possible collaborator. My

experience tells me this would be beneficial for your team.

Best regards,

Aleksej Makarov, Ph.D.
