The project

This project involves the design proces of a new bridge south of Bispebjerg station. The design is inspired by the northern mythology which embrace the surrounding district (such as Mimirsparken).

The bridge is emitting light collected by piezo electric compo-nents in the pedestrian surface.

reBicycle is a sustainable way to reuse bicycle tires. Bicycle tires can’t be remelted

and reused due to the permanent chemical bonds created in the vulcanization process.

Because of this, bicycle tires are very interesting to upcycle.

reBicycle is a fence and façade system made out of worn out bicycle tires. The square

meter cost in Western Europe is way to high (due to the relative high salary). The system

is therefore meant for the South East Asian market - where the salary is low and bicycle

tires are plentiful. Several architectural studios in Europe excels in designing

sustainable houses - using local materials - in countries such as Thailand, Burma, Laos,

Vietnam and even forests of Sumatra.

reBicycle can - from day one - be a part of projects in this area, and contribute to

an efficient use of the many used bicycle tires, create jobs

and provide better housing for the

locals!

Proud member of the participating team from DTU which en-tered the international University competition Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 with the house EMBRACE.

During this interdiciplinary project where a modern plus energy house was designed and constructed in Versailles I had different functions and assignements. Started working with design and architecture where also the urban strategies where developed. Later I decided to undertake some project management where planning and BIM implementation was in focus. Ultimately I was assigned as workpackage leader for the group who worked with urban design, transportation and affordability.
