PROJECTThe Terrarium
SPECIFICATIONSTools: AutoCAD, 3DsMax, Adobe CSArea: 3820 sqft
CONCEPTFood miles matter because so much of our food transport is unnecessary. Local food is also a better choice because it is fresher and therefore healthier for us. Buying local also sup-ports our local economies. Purchasing local food means supporting small-scale businesses and protecting green space in our commu-nities. The Terrarium becomes a sustainable platform for all the needs to have a greener environment and to provide local food to the community where people could explore how our food are planted, harvested and served freshly into our plate.

PROJECT9x9 Student Accomodation
SPECIFICATIONSTools: Hand DrawingArea: 81 sqft
CONCEPTThis student house is in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom and is designed to accomodate 3 tenants. With only 9 cubic metres measured ground space and height, the aim of the pro-ject is to make the property feel larger yet re-maining the volume space of the existing build-ing.
DESIGN CONCEPT
By providing more activity spaces in a limited building area, the space is designed with multi-layer concept. Volume space are re-mained at the foyer so that people can feel a place bigger as they first walk into the space.
The concept of house within a house had created extra terrace space for tenants who want to have another interesting room to spend their time in the house. A relation between various space had been created in the house, such as “room and mezzanine” or “mez-zanine and terrace”.

Flutter EchoFlutter echoes present in long narrow spaces with parallel walls which will affects the listeners. This had become the main problem of the way of designing the music lab, the main aim is to reduce the reverberation time of sounds and reduce flutter echoes. There are 2 ways to solve the problems above, which is designing an irregular space or using sound absorption material. This had literally became the concept of how the form and space of the green music hub. “Ultimately, the only real imperative is that the space should work for creating spaces that sound “right” when played on other systems outside of other space.”

Welcome Home (Music Experimental Area 1)
The concept of creating music and rhythms by using household objects. Ceiling were designed slightly slunted due to the parallel walls which creates flutter echoes.
4 Themes Music Experimental Area
Different themes create different kinds of music ex-perience for visitors. Playing using recycle materials reminds us how we can reuse unwanted things to create a moment of magical music experience.

Backstreet Stomp (Music Experimental Area 2)
Never expect to see performers playing music with trash cans and barrels that could be found in the alleys? The scene was created by using unwanted objects that could be found in the alleys.
Tree House (Music Experimental Area 3)
Leading visitors to the “woods” to see how they create mu-sics with wood objects. Collecting unwanted timber from construction site and carpentary workshop reminds us that there are many woods that could be recycled around us.
Aquarium Auditorium (Music Experimental Area 4)
The most exciting part of all music experimental are as per-formers play music in the water with pipes and tubes. This will be the most magical performance of all and bring unforg-etabble memories to the visitors.
