A study developed by sustainable futures students as part of an internship project aimed to provide a community with a design for their local needs. The development called for a look through the lens of sustainable management and interaction for inhabitants. The clients desire called for a market and arts center as well as small office space. The concept was developed through an inquiry of development in the region where homes are expanded as owners acquire funds. This also lead to a phased process where 2 or 3 additions would expand as needed. Due to our desire for minimal intervention he concept of chain was developed. Each space added to a center allowed a continuous growth while enabling a complex to change in form and orientation.
