Location: Zurich
Type: Museum
Situated right at the coastline of lake Zurich, the new Building for the Sukkulen-tensammlung, redefine the existing area an creates a new landmark. The principal purpose of the thesis project is to increase the public park and the green belt wich is disorderd by the existing Skukkulentensammlung at the moment. By set-ting the complex at the waterside, this conflict can be solved. Parking Space will be arranged along the street and divide the park from the street.
The project area is characterized by the different club houses of the watersports organisations and also by the public swimming bath, wich is part of the green belt along the coast. Historicaly this area was part of the national exhibition in the year 1939 and afterwards reorganised and refilld by different public stuctures. As consequence of the uniqueness of this historically consolidated area, the project offers to the public a urban open terrasse and restaurant to the seaside.
A sequence of five halls, arranged as a chain, forms the exhibition part and one hall the entrance of the museum. Each hall, made out of glass and metal include one specific climate zone, in wich the different Cactus are growing.

The Seebad Lucern, wich was build in the period of the early 19th Century, re-veals the historical background of tourism in lucern. The construction out of wood has been modificated oftenly during the time. The Challange of this competition was to keep the main appearance and just to reorganise the comercial part of it. The fact the Seebad Lucern is on the protections list of ancient monuments, didnt allow to make big interventions. On the lower deck, a new intrance situation and and new kitchen an bar area were suggested, and additional a sauna area. On the sundeck, the intervention constricted on a shady roof and flexible bar equipment.

Citybay is a project near to Mainstation in the core of Lucerne. Situated next to the lake its the ideal place to live and to work. On the 20`000 sqm. alotment, three buildings were planed. Two of them for living, one whit office space. In a big team of Architects and Planners. During the phase of Planning permission my job was to design several Floor Plans, and detailed plans of the different typs of apparte-ments. Lasse Kjus the former Worldcup Skistar whit his enterprise in high quality winter-clothing and also a small collection for summer, needs a new worldwide head-quarter in the middle of switzerland. Our team suggested a office Building on three floors with Shop and small coffeebar in the Groundfloor and office Space and Conference Rooms in the first and second upper floor. A compact Structure with a specific designed core for vertical circulation. My work in the planing team was designing the fassade and part of the floorplans, especially the groundfloor-plan.

The Delta of River Maggia in the South of Switzerland, has been modified, espe-cially for safty reasons, many times. Our job was to redesign the area between the residential area, in a way, the water has more space in case of flooding, and also allow the local citizen to use the area as a park and recreation place. Our suggestion was to create different levels of hight, following the natural topogra-hie, by reshaping. The result is a landscape defined by a sequence of terrasses, following the high curves

Brauerstrasse 60 is a existing House in a mixed area of Zurich. The house has been built in the 1960s. Mainpart of the studio was to develop new options, for housing in this area. My proposal includes 2 luxury appartements on each floor, with generous balconys and terrasses for the upper appartements. on the ground floor office and/or exibithion space is proposed. The complete bodyshell is adapted to modern low energy technology and coverd with a new fassade matrialisation.

My last regular Studio Project is basically fixed on the problematic of renew-able energy technology. A house in the swissalps, out of wood, with a complex heating system, water circulation components, and solar technology shoud be planed. My solution is a two family house. Living- and Sleepingrooms are aligned to South, Additional rooms are aligned to North. In the basement, watertanks are installed, saving the solar energy overage.
