My name is Laia Juvé. I’m a freelance interior desig-ner. I love creating unique, simple and usable design for a space. I started working on space a few years ago. Since then, I’ve met some of the most talented people, who have taught me a lot.

I consider myself to be a very passionate, decisive and reliable person. Professionally speaking, I consider myself to be a hard-working, very organized, creati-ve and competitive person. I need control everything that I have to realize and to put on a few temporary guidelines, to organize and work in the best possi-ble way. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new things.

At first I was interest in becoming a interior designer for another person, and to work for him. But now I prefer to work for myself, in this way, I do my own designs for projects without having to suppress my creative ideas.

I always try to be unique. Through my experience on the design world, I created my own portolio. I have created clean, elegan and creative designs for the port-folio. I created it with ease of use and user-friendliness in mind. My portfolio includes the most important projects that I have done as a designer: from the de-sign of a fashion museum exhibition in Barcelona, to the interior of a building in social protection, through small projects related to graphic and product design.

I’m a keen user of 3D Max software program and if I learn to use this program, I will have learned to use all necessary software to design spaces, as I know use Adobe InDesign, Adobe Ilustrator, Adobe Pho-toshop, Rhinoceros by to do 3D and the AutoCad. I think that I’m well prepared in this regard.

So now you know a bit about me. Check out my port-folio, or if you really interested, head over to the con-tact area and shoot me an email.

Adobe Photoshop is a program that I use mainly for retou-ching images: to reduce or enlarge the image size for better quality, to tweak the lighting and / or shade,to retouch ble-mishes, the tone of color ...

I have an intermediate level of this software.

representation

In this work, from an image of a Caribbean beach, I tried to represent the action of a tsunami. But the image also has other connotations: it represents the difference in social class with people that affected under these natural disasters, and other classes that do not realize what is happening around them.

In the first exercise, I have retouched the photogra-phy to hide the imperfections, and to simulate a image of publishing study. The option that I have used in this case is it of “des-enfoque gaussiano”, with that it does that the skin seems mas smooth and eliminates the wrinkles and other blemishes.

In the second exercise, I have use the “filtro pun-to de fuga” to generate an assembly respecting the adopted perspective, from an image with enough angles. Thus, I have extended the bridge giving a very real effect.

Page 9: PORTFOLI LAIA

With the Rhinoceros I can create 3 dimensional spaces and to obtain a very royal result. And is that with V-Ray, once you have completed the document Rhino, you can actually modify the image providing the space / product.

It is a very useful program in the field of interior design.

This project aims to design a social bar from space (both in-ternal and external), up to the applied graph. In this way, and in collaboration with a partner, we have chosen a specific situation for this type of bar, to having in the user counts at all time. This project is made with AutoCad and Photoshop.

The space is located in a park in Castelldefels, Molinot Park. This is a Social Bar, assigned to the four sectors of the population: children, youth, adults and seniors. In this way, the space is divided into 4 areas, each one assigned to di-fferent social groups.

The structure of the bar has two floors. The plane is on the right, it belongs to the upper floor, ai-med at young people. The space contains an in-ner, area includes a library and another relaxing, and an outer zone, intended to take someone with friends.

The area below is divided into three areas: the children, the adults and the elderly. We also find the bathrooms and the kitchen bar, in the rear. To the zone of above one accedes with the stairs that we find at the entry.

The lighting is very important in this space, the windows let in natural light, and the buil-ding is well integrated into the environment.

The graph applied in the exterior appears in a very forceful way, in the wings of the building the name of the bar appears with big letters with the height of the same building (ground floor). The letters cross the gathering as if they were flowing in the wall.In the top floor, in the wall of concrete there is the nomenclature of the type of bar (social bar). With smaller letters following the aesthetics of the original lay person. To others, in the glass there is a vinyl with “x” crusades that reflect and relate the graph of the bar to the same building. So much it is like that, that inside the bar cross the colors of the vinyl with those of the walls.

This mixture of colors they reflect the image of the values of the bar, to share, to mix, to coexist...

From the road we can see the logo that exists in the wall of behind the bar, it is a claim of attention for the one that walks along the border.

Nevertheless, from another part of the street in perpen-

dicular sense, the cars that there circulate on the road or the people who walks along the street, can see tambíen the brand of the bar burde-ned in the same building. They are different ways of applying the logo in a bar.

The building, designed by me and two other people (and that we will see in detail in the section “Social Hou-sing Design”) it belongs to a welfare home. This, aimed at homeless people, should be adapted to its user. That is why, that the design of the scale, the first concept that was clear was that the person who had used, and

consequently, the size and materials, because in these types of homes people are different age, but especially older people with mobility problems. That’s why I had to design safe stairs. In this way, the materials that I used for the construction of the stairs are concrete, beech wood and stainless steel for the rail.

What you want in the spa-ce give a continuity between everything is exposed. To achieve this, we built the space with curtains because, unlike the drywall are easy to manipulate and Corvo. To highlight the entrance to each room, wall or curtain of black in contrast to the pre-

dominant white space.Regarding the color of the carpet, every room has a co-lor, so that the visitor knows where each begins and ends. The central hall is differentia-ted from other trova as what exhibits you some distinction between the rest of this form is given greater importance.

The space has sections on each of them shows a section of the exhi-bition. At the entrance are in it be-longs to the exhibit. Used to create the space with curtains, curved walls

and drywall to separate the different spaces. The color is a very impor-tant part of the exhibition, therefore, each sector contains a different color. Each object is exposed differently:

by exhibitors, showcases, hanging items.... The circuit is the market for years, so it is not an open circuit.

The building is situated in the city center of Barcelona. It comprises 6 floors: the beneath (-1) that be-longs to a workshop for activities of all kinds. The plant 0 belongs to a reception point, and other plants contain rooms for users. The building also contains soup

kitchens for users, and different rooms for different activities. The exterior of the building is made of wooden slats, that allow the entry of natural light. I found some space between these strips and hallway connecting the rooms, that making space balcony.

In the building there are two types of rooms, depending on the level where we are located. The room that I have designed will be found by us later.

This portfolio contains projects realized during the university period, from 2 to 4 I deal of design. I have realized some of the exercises individually and others in group.

I have attached projects of graphical design, though I have based more in them of interior design.
