Core... brings you to one of the old offices where you find Caroline downloaded onto an old PC. She is guiltstricken over what happened and wants to put things right. She pleads you to take her with you and to go press the reset button (again) so as to undo all that happened. She informs you that you can plug your portal gun into the computer to downlad her so she can guide you. However when you do so she accidentally causes the gun to fire several times attracting the attention of The Announcer.He now knows where you are, and keeps tracking you. And for some time you manage to avoid him, (staying out of the "online" part of the facility) however for the last section you'll have to go into the online part. Just before you do, however, you find a room with "empty" Personality Cores and you are able to place Caroline in one. Then you hear a familiar voice calling out to you. GLaDOS, to her own dismay, has been put away into one of the old personality cores. She is extremely angry and blames all that has happened on Caroline even suggesting leaving her behind. They start a heated discussion about whose to blame, you put Caroline down as Core... calls you away.
